Yeah it's really sad when they have to resort to spoofing trailers. As for why studios keep funding these guys, two reasons: 1. Their movies probably don't cost much to make. 2. Their movies make money for some unknown reason.

well, i don't know, of the last 3 movies, date movie and superhero movie both bombed, while meet the spartans was a moderate BO success, so maybe the American public is coming to its senses?? also, interesting stat: Epic Movie - $86M Date Movie - $84M Meet the Spartans - $84M Superhero Movie - $57M promising, no??

At least Fox and Regency dropped them for a new film by James Gunn that's produced by Ben Stiller. And I want to make a joke about Friedberg and Seltzer but I'd end up sounding anti-Semetic so I won't make it.

Just when you think their films can't get any worse... To their credit, the latest poster is actually pretty funny. http://www.worstpreviews.com/media.php?id=1236&image=3&place=posters&place2=poster And that, folks, is the closest I will EVER get to seeing, or laughing at, any of Friedberg & Seltzer's films. There isn't an instrument blunt enough to beat these assclowns with.

I think these spoof movies are coming to an end pretty soon, they've been making less and less money. They all opened to Number 1, until Superhero Movie opened to Number 3. I can't see this being higher than Number 4 OW, behind Star Wars, Tropic Thunder, Babylon AD and probably The House Bunny or maybe even Accidental Husband.

The Accidential Husband is now opening September 5th but will probably be delayed again and sent to video. The Yari Film Group is apparently in financial trouble considering the constant delays of their films (Possession, Nothing But The Truth, The Lonely Maiden, etc.). And Banks, Superhero Movie is not part of this series. It's a spinoff of the Scary Movie series. I could see it opening to second or third even though I'd love to see it open outside of the top ten along with College (aka National Lampoon's Superbad Ripoff That Borrows Heavily From Animal House and John Belushi's Sweater In That Movie Which Can Be Seen On Posters Of Belushi's Character In Dorm Rooms Across The World*). Am I going to hell... because I actually laughed a bit. Just a bit, I promise... I do agree that they just stole bits from upcoming films' trailers so that when Disaster Movie does come around, the summer blockbusters will still be fresh in our minds. How is it "Disaster Movie" other than the obvious, that we'd hope that it'd be, well, a disaster in terms of BO. I mean, Hannah Montana, Iron Man, Hulk, Hancock, Sex And The City, Juno all aren't "Disaster Movies". I guess we'll have to take them literally and hope they've made a movie with the sole purpose of bombing at the Box Office.

Yes, yes you are. And what the hell is up with all the low money movies changing their dates. Its annoying. If I had known Hounddog was going to change before last Friday, I would have dropped Get Smart and that and picked up Wanted and The Wackness. But no, they have to wait til its too late to drop Get Smart to tell me.

Pixar movies usually get Labor Day boosts when they open in the summer (Finding Nemo, Cars and Ratatouille all did). Meanwhile, the Number 12 prediction for College is a conservative prediction. Here's a possible real outcome. 12.The Dark Knight 13.The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants 2 14.The Mummy 3 15.College College is the flop of the Labor Day season. And I forgot about The Dark Knight and didn't include it. Plus, it won't have Wall-E's legs.

Getting pregnant at 17 isn't a disaster? Still, I agree with you. What is funny about a cow falling on Iron Man? I, too, laughed at one part of the trailer, but only one. My hatred for Sarah Jessica Parker knows no bounds, and I did laugh out loud when I saw that she was played by a dude in drag. Ha.

Now, I naturally have very low expectations when watching a trailer like this. But that is probably the worst trailer I have ever witnessed. Ever. How many times in one trailer can they rehash the same joke of something falling on hitting a character? That was just so bad I can't even put it into words. I think this will bomb almightily as even the dumb kids who usually see their garbage will be hard pushed to smile never mind laugh at any moment in that trailer.

Yeah no shit hollyW. When they played the trailer at Hancock there was actual groaning and mumbling happening in the audience. Plenty of "That looks fucking stupid's" and WTF's" going on.

I saw this trailer on Friday. I think we've got a winner at February's Razzie Awards. Worst part: Juno fights Carrie Bradshaw. And despite some audiences claiming to hate it, they'll eat it up. Like they did with the last three films.
