Jim Carrey. His last good comedy was Me, Myself and Irene(Eternal Sunshine, while great, doesn't count), and he was recently in 2 of the worst films I've seen in years, Fun With Dick and Jane and The Number 23.

Number 23 was great. Fun with dick and Jane wasn't bad either. I don't see why anybody wouldn't like them. Carrey's performance was just amazing in 23. As for Eternal Sunshine. There was a reason it was a limited release if not straight to dvd.

I thought Dick and Jane was a flat and very uninteresting comedy. I thought the start of the end credits was the best part of the movie- not because it was the end of the movie, but because of the thank yous part. I thought the rest of the movie was entirely forgetable and reminded of a Steve Martin remake movie- a bland populist film attempting to resurrect a dated and musty movie that never entirely translates right in its new incarnation.

I know Tea Leone was recently got added to the list ofactors, I always though her biggest problem wasn't her agent, but her. I always found her to be a very average actress that gets lost in mediocre projects. Even in poor movies, she's never really had 'that' performance- you know the one where everyone stops and says "wow!".

Yeah. The acting in dick and jane wasn't amazing. I still thought it was funny though. And the acting was probably better than Eternal sunshine. That movie was lame.

You didn't like it. What was wrong with it. I caught sin city kind of feel from it. It reminded me of an old detective movie or book, something of that nature. I thought it was great. I guess thats all that really matters to me. Your not hurting my feelings by disagreeing so go ahead. Opinionate.

I get nervous when I hear that Joel Schumaker is directing a film because they either tend to be compelling and worth watching (Phonebooth, Tigerland, Flatliners, The Lost Boys) or really bad (Batman and Robin, Bad Boys, Phantom of the Opera) and one can never entirely tell what kind of movie he's making. Is it going to be famous or infamous?

Tuan, I goofed when I was typing. I noticed it the moment I read your post.

No, Schumaker DID NOT direct Bad Boys. That was Michael Bay's maiden voyage into filmland. (for what it is worth, the jokes set around Will Smith and Bad Boys in Kevin Smith's Jersey Girl make me laugh a lot).

The movie I was trying to write down was the fantastically miscasted, fantastically underwhelming directed, and downright cookied cutter film Bad Company. NO chemistry between Hopkins and Rock, Rock's comedy too sanitized to be funny, and the umpteenth variation of 48 Hrs (finally saw in the last month- a great B-movie western set in a cops and robbers story.)

I know this is not going to surprise some people but I loved phone booth. For a movie shot entirely in one area. I thought it was great. The acting. The story. Everything, I just thought it was great.

Phone Booth was relatively good. It tends to be really the measure of an actor when a movie primarily focuses on them, with little environment - which I've mentioned before in regard to 1408 - same is true with Phone Booth. Its definitely not a "bad" movie, but most people get bored with Colin standing in a phonebooth for the duration, if you don't have a short attention span (or ADD) however, it is definitely worth checking out.
