Ok, first of all i have to admit i'm a huge animated fan. So i would love to see a prequal to The Lion King. I think there could be an awesome backstory, with mufasa, scar, and rafiki and the whole elephant graveyard! wow i am a geek. Anyways I'd also like to see:
The Hobbit (of course)
Incredibles Sequal
Hmm, thats all i can think of for now.

I think that if Warner Bros. made more Ocean's movies, I'd still watch them despite knowing they had potential to greatly disappoint me.

1) Underworld - could do with a prequel OR (another) sequel.. either way I'll probably watch it a dozen times.
2) Serenity - give me more movie or start the show back up.. easy enough.
3)Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
4) Mario Brothers - how is there still only one?
I feel like i should have something less geeky, but horror movies shouldn't have sequels, comedies tend to get stupider via sequel, and leaving something unanswered tends to be integral to certain parts of quality in dramatic movies that use that in their plot so having a sequel to answer whatever the prior movie closed with would just take the whole franchise down a notch.

Cloverfield, but a backstory sequel, NOT another first-person, handheld cam account of the same attack.

The Big Lebowski - it can be a prequel or a sequel, it matters not as long as I can see the further adventures of Walter and The Dude. But its coningent on the Coens, Goodman, and Bridges all definitely being involved.
The Dude abides

Agreed about the Dude. Yes he needs more stories. I would like to see Donnie and Walter as kids doing the same routine. LOL
"Who brought peanut butter and jelly? What kind of jelly?"
"Shut the heck up Donnie! You're out of your element!"
Oh, I know. We could make the 3 prequels to Star Wars. Maybe find some great actors and some cool FX. Oh they did those already. And they were not very good.
I would say a prequel and a sequel to "The Boondock Saints" showing the Duke as a mob hitman in the past and the Saint's future with FBI and police help. Sweet...

There was talks a long time ago about a sequel to Seven.
I have been disappointed by sequels and would love to see them done over again:
Legally Blonde 2: Elle going to Washington and being legit? What? People weren't looking for Elle Woods Go To Washington. Do try to sell me her selling her animal rights.
Bridget Jones' Diary 2: So, so, so disappointed by this one. I loved the first one. This movie just had all kinds of wrongs.
Anyway, kind of went a little to the left of the original topic.
It would've been funny to see what happened years down the road after Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Seeing how Ferris is as a parent.

I agree big time with the Hitchhiker mention. I was reading The Restaurant at the End of the Universe and that reads almost better then Hitchiker. If there are any more movies though, they need to keep the Hollywood crap out of it and stay true to the words on the page.
And I could go for more Oceans' movies even though I haven't seen the 3rd one yet.
And yes! Serenity. I'm gonna try and pick up the Firefly series sometime. That movie was gold. It might be pretty hard to make with Summer Glau on Terminator though.
And after seeing Overnight, I can't support anything by Troy Duffy. So I am against anything Boondock.
Here is my suggestion:
Leon: The Professional - How did Matilda grow up?

DO IT NOW. The series is so much more witty than the movie, the movie was good, but very watered down from the series.

JackO, There should definitely be a sequel to The Professional which is one of my all-time favorite films!
I personally could have done with a third Ace Ventura movie a while back. It's too late now, although with the way his recent movies have been turning out, anything is possible.
And it could be pretty cool if they elaborated on the backstory in a Lucky # Slevin prequel.
But besides that, I'm usually not a huge fan of sequels if there does need to be one.

I always thought it would be cool to have a Top Gun sequal. Maybe bring back a story line w/ Goose's son (the one who sits on the piano as Goose plays "great balls of fire"). Goose's son could be a new student in the Top Gun program. Mav and Ice could be new Top Gun instructors, though I doubt Tom Cruise would ever do the role, maybe Val Kilmer would, but he needs to lose some weight! With the new technology they could make the action sequences pretty cool.
