No. I REALLY have to disagree with you Keira Knightley fans. She got lucky with Pirates. She's attractive, young and has a british accent. Man. that must have taken a lot of work. I don't care how many sappy romantic period pieces you put her in, until she proves that she has some emotional depth and can actually act...I keep my standpoint. She can cry. Wow. Anyone can cry. She can use victorian language. Yay. She can read.
I'm done. I'm sorry.

You clearly didn't see Bend it like Beckham, Love Actually, or King Arthur... painted blue she did a good job.

You're right. I haven't seen bend it like beckham or love actually. Two movies that i've always heard really good things about, but although I might check out love actually (because keira is apparently not the main focus) based on the films of hers I have seen, I WILL NEVER watch bend it like beckham. Maybe i'm missing out, but you can't change my mind with movies like atonement and pride & prejudice.
I'm just pretending that you didn't mention King Arthur seeing as it was probably one of the worst movies i have seen in my entire life and anyone attached to it who is not clive owen (he has MORE than redeemed himself in Closer alone) should be absolutely ashamed.

Yea, Bend it like Beckham has minimal depth, but its cute, and fun. And personally I think Keira does a good job.
Love actually is one of those romantic comedies that guys can usually enjoy almost as much as girls, its funny, smart, and very very complex, and british, the guy who goes to the US to win over chicks with his British accent is HILARIOUS (Cameo from Elisha Cuthbert looking hot as usual).
And you are correct in that King Arthur was a steaming pile of dung... however I thought Keira was one of the few bright spots in the movie.
I also have not yet seen Domino, though it is on my netflix list coming up soon... AND I agree with you that she hasn't really tapped her depth in any of her performances.. but I see the potential there. I want to see her do something really gritty, and soon, which will be a make it or break it role for her.

I totally agree with you on the make or break part.
She needs a Monster-style breakout, or she's just going to be an overrated pretty actress in my book.

Evan Rachel Wood makes the kind of movies people will still be talking about ten years down the road. Shia and Kiera may be hot right now, but they're not actors the way that wood and ryan gosling are.

I don't know about that. Did you see Transformers. People are gonna be talkin bout that movie for a long long time. To tell you the truth I can't even think of an Evan rachel wood movie right now and I highly doubt anything other than the notebook will be remembered for gosling. Sorry. But you got it all wrong buddy. besides. Pirates was pretty awesome too. And considering Disney world still has the ride up. I don't think that movies going anywhere.

Still has the ride up? You know the ride came before the movies, right? It's not like they'd pull it if the movies didn't succeed...

Well for mine, there was this awesome TV show, critically acclaimed but little watched that started in 2003 and sadly ended in 2006-Arrested Development. btw if you look at my username and all my slates you'll see some sort of reference to AD...
There was this kid who played Jason Bateman's awkward social-clumsy son. I guess he's still doing the same sort of roles today, but this is where he perfected his craft. He's since hit it big in the hit Superbad and the soon to be hit Juno. If by now you haven't figured out by now, I'm talking about Michael Cera. Here's a star in the making if I ever saw one...
Oh btw I think Keira Knightley is not only gorgeous, but also talented and has a big future in front of her.
Shia Lebeouf will hit it big too, come on, before he's 25 he can get a lead in a $300mil+ movie. That shows something...
I woulda said Evan Rachel Wood as well in the past, especially since her performance in Thirteen. But her relationship with Marilyn Manson just makes me cringe. I guess that shouldn't have anything to do with her career, unless she wants to become the next Helena Bonham Carter, which isn't necessarily a bad thing...
