Hi,

still waitin' 4 Super Leagues, that's why I want to share with you one idea... brilliant or not, you'll see... Shrykespeare thinks that is cool this idea to select until 17th of January 10 movies of 2008 ( with release dates between 01.18-12.31.2008 regardless their cost to see who'll be the greatest mogul in life

My full idea is something like this:

1. all the moguls have to choose a top 10 blockbusters of 2008, no more, no less; release dates (in US) between: 01.18.2008 (Cloverfield might be the first blockbuster of the year) - 12.31.2008;
2. these movies can't be replaced, once you have chosen'em! if you're unlucky and a movie will have the release date delayed for 2009, your bad.... so look out carefully for the movies who have the release date in December 2008, the WGA is still on strike...;
3. the box offices calculated (TOT$) will be until 02.28.2009, so the movies released in December to have their chance (from December 2008 until end of February 2009 they can do 95-97% of final box offices)…;
5. sign up until: 01.17.2008;
6. the winner announced on 03.01.2009 - is the mogul with the highest total box office.

Waitin' 4 your feedback and your selected top 10 movies.

Regards,
Marius

P.S.: My selected 10 movies are the following:

1 Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
2 Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
3 The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
4 The Dark Knight
5 Iron Man
6 WALL-E
7 Hancock
8 Kung Fu Panda
9 The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
10 Madagascar 2: The Crate Escape

P.S.2: waitin' 4 at least the 72 entrants of Super Box Office Leagues

I remain, as always...

Nico.

P.S. You have one of my favorite historical names of all time, young man. The Roman General and Consul Gauis Marius is one of the most fascinating figures of all time, and was considered by the citizens of the Late Republic to be the Third Founder of the world's premiere city. (He was also uncle to Julius Caesar -- yes, that Julius Caesar.) Read Plutarch's Lives or, if you're up for something more modern, Erik Hildinger's Swords Against the Senate: the Rise of the Modern Army and the Fall of the Republic, or, if you're up for a rollicking good historical fiction, Colleen McCullough's The First Man in Rome.

I don't think this is the greatest idea, because mostly everyone's lists are (and will be) the exact same. The price limit forces you to be creative with your choosings, but without that, we'll all have the biggest 10 names in 2008. I mean, it's just kind of redundant.

And I have a suspicion that a majority of the people making lists now will not be around in March 2009 to see if they won this...

But, not to be a killjoy, I present my list:

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince
The Dark Knight
Iron Man
Hancock
Horton Hears A Who!
Kung Fu Panda
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Sex & The City
Mamma Mia!
Bond 22

Thank You all ! Glad that my idea was appreciated!
Still waitin' 4 other subscribers... Shryke, oh, Skryke, where are you?
@Nico: thank you 4 the comment. Yes, I know my first name's signification. I read Plutarch's Lives when I was a child... Thank you 4 the other 2 props! I'll read'em soon as I'll find'em! A little typo: is Gaius Marius
@rob9802: no problem; I think you have a typo too: The Mummy IV must be The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (which is The Mummy 3

Delf,

I presume that if it comes to two or more people picking the same Top 10 movies, that the winner is the one who gets the order most like the actual Top 10?
