According to B.O.M., here is how this weekend's numbers are shaking out so far.
Top 5:
5 points - Enchanted ($17.02M)
4 points - This Christmas ($8.40M)
3 points - Beowulf ($7.88M)
2 points - Awake ($6.01M)
1 point - Hitman ($5.80m)
So it would seem Awake might end up in the Top 5 after all. Sigh.
PTA:
5 points - The Savages ($38,250)
4 points - The Diving Bell and the Butterfly ($25,100)
3 points - Margot at the Wedding ($5,685)
2 points - Enchanted ($4,563)
1 point - No Country For Old Men ($4,523)
No numbers yet on Protagonist or Cronica de una fuga.

If I remember right, Enchanted was priced in the low teens in the Ultimate leagues. That's a great pick right there.
The Savages already fulfilled what FM said it would PTA wise, plus a higher IMDb. Nice pick there too.
Surprised how terribly The Mist is doing though - it's already out of the Top 10 (behind American Gangster and Bee Movie, both of which have been out for a month now). Wow.
No Country is in 1,000 theaters and still grabbing PTA points in it's 3rd week I believe. Holy hell.

I wouldn't have touched The Mist. Stephen King is very iffy.
Take Coen Brothers and Disney over Stephen King.

Anybody who thought this Christmas would flop is just crazy. it is the best Reviewd Christmas film in years. I thinkl the last two christmas films to get the kind of reviews as this christmas was Elf and The Family Stone. that is why it is doing great in the boxoffice. Unlilke Fred Clause, this Christmas is good.

Box Office Mojo's Weekend Figures:
Top 5
5 points - Enchanted
4 points - Beowulf
3 points - This Christmas
2 points - Hitman
1 ponit - Awake
PTA
5 points - The Savages
4 points - The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
3 points - Margot at the Wedding
2 points - Lions For Lambs
1 point - The Protagonist
Lions For Lambs dropped from over 1500 screens down to 82 this past weekend. I guess theatergoers were hard-up for something to see, because those 82 screens averaged almost $4,500 over the weekend.
Damn. It. To. Hell. (Yeah, I had it in Fantasy Bankrupts.)
