I just saw Juno tonight and it is a great movie.
Ellen Page is funny, charming and great in her role. Michael Cera and Alison Janney are standouts as well. The whole cast is great.
This movie definitely has the potential to do great. It's funny and refreshing. Plus, some lines that will be repeated.
There is a scene with Micheal and Ellen at the school that is heart breaking and funny at the same time.
I'm definitely keeping this movie on my slate.

I'll just repeat what I said in the Juno thread
So for Juno's first day according to boxofficemojo:
$55,179
$7,883 PTA
That looks solid to me. Should be looking at a 30-40k PTA weekend.
Actually, The Savages off 4 theaters only managed a PTA of a little over $3,500 on its first day a week ago. Juno's gone double that, from more theaters. The Savages ended up with $35,000-ish PTA on its first week. Juno could potentially grab $75,000+ PTA!!!
Atonement's in a little trouble it seems. If Juno keeps that figure, Atonement will need $2million from its 27 screens to win the PTA...
Plain and simple, this is just fantastic for Juno.
Just another thing, No Country For Old Men old grabbed $43,000 PTA off 28 screens when it opened. Even the most optimistic Atonement fan would find it hard to argue that off 27 screens Atonement could beat No Country's PTA, let alone Juno's...

i'm slowly coming around to this Juno phenomenon....i might even consider picking it up on some slates at this rate....it'll take a lot of contemplation though....i've sworn never to touch PTA potentials that cost over $18 unless i have very specific information (like the names and addresses of everyone who knows they're going to watch it!! *GRIN* ....

To throw an added complication into the mix, The Savages only expanded to 9 theaters this weekend while The Diving Bell and the Butterfly remained at 3 theaters. The Walker opens with 3 theaters and Grace is Gone opens in 4.
This could be a monster of a PTA battle.

I'm rooting like crazy for The Amateurs to get 1 or 2 points. It isn't on too many screens, and it has a really great cast. Will destroy some RazLeague slates if it did.
