i'd say cuba, but i'll explain why not later....

amanda peet is talented and definitely should get in more challenging roles than till now.
mandy moore can act, but her last few roles have been badly chosen, but i dont think she needs a new agent just yet.
robin williams is fine.
dawson's fine too, she has enough hits to cover the misses; but that wont last too long at this rate.
jim carrey definitely does NOT need a new agent.
thandie newton, i reserve judgement until i see a few more movies she's in.
halle berry could need a new agent, her fall from grace has been way too obvious.
uma thurman's fine - see rosario dawson above.
tea leoni - see thandie newton above.
and finally, eddie murphy - he's still just the no-talent jackass that goes for the highest-paying jobs instead of the most respectable ones....

so overall, i'd pick either halle berry or amanda peet.

and as for my man cuba, the reason he doesn't need a new agent is because he needs (even more urgently) a new PROFESSION!!!!

I agree with almost everything you just said. Except for murhpy. Eddie Murphy is frickin funny. I agree he needs to find better movies to do. Have you seen Beverly Hills Cop. Eddie Murphy Raw. So what is Haunted mansion and daddy day care is retarted. Yeah He's a greedy prick in real life. What actor or actress isn't. Its not about acting and making good movies in hollywood anymore. Its about the effing money. I figured everyone on this site already knew that.
Daddy day Camp. Seriously. Tell me they didn't do this ridiculous movie to make money.

i know all actors are greedy mofos cRAzY, but it's when they start exchanging their credibility for movies like pluto nash that i dislike them....i mean even johnny depp signed on for pirates 2, though one read of that script should have sent any actor scurrying for cover....but he's maintained his avenue cred (that's hollywood's answer to NYC - take that harlem!!

but few have taken it to the level of doing films like norbit, which is why i hate the man....

Agree on Pluto nash. dumb movie. I actually like Norbit though. Not a whole lot. Probably wouldn't buy it. But I'd watch it again.
I don't think Johnny Depp has sold out yet. Every role I've seen him in he has done a awesome frickin job. Secret Window, Pirates, Corpse Bride, and Sweeney Todd looks pretty wicked too. The movies might be bad. But he always plays his part to the fullest in my opinion.

The thing with Depp though is this- the more of an A-list he get to be, the less bold and daring his movie choises can be. People may or may not remember this, but Bruckhiemer and co. paired up with Disney to make it, It turned out to recieve a lot of good fortune behind it.

Consider this-
1. The movie had a large budget, even for a blockbuster.
2. The movie was in a genre that was not only dead, but a long reputation of harming careers.
3. Your romantic leads were nobodies with little professional experience.
4. Bloom got big only during the filming process.
5. Depp, a quality actor, had never really paid off big box office dividends as a lead and the movie could bomb as easily as become a blockbuster.
6. The movie was based of an amusement park ride that exist more
because of reputation than current interest.

All the points add up to this. Johnny depps high water mark for his career will probably be him playing Jack Sparrow. I don't see any other identity for him to fit into, and I think his work will dimish for that point in his career on.

Anyone notice Orlando Bloom has played with swords in most of his movies.

Pirates trilogy and he used swords instead of his bow and arrow in LOTR a bit. What a sword fighter!

And (anyone who saw Pirates 3 should agree) what a crappy pirate he was! Taking time in the middle of a fight for romance, pshaw.

firstly cRAzY, don't get me wrong, i just meant that everyone signs onto movies that simply milk as much out of an idea as they can - voila, i give you pirates 2-3, spidey 2-3, etc etc. what i wanted to say was that while depp also has done it, he's never taken it all the way to the pot of career destruction at the end of the rainbow like eddie murphy has done.

secondly, has anyone seen orlando with a moustache?? to quote an ace ventura moment, maybe he act "like seeeeessyyyy girl" coz he is little more than a "seeessyyy girl". my cousin still fiercely maintains that he's just anne hathaway with a fake moustache (not even short hair, long golden blond in LotR....really orlando??)

and jameydunne, i think i'd remember him more as the tripped out mofo in fear and loathing wouldn't you?? great movie!! loved it!!

Two actresses not on that list that may want to think their steps out very carefully are Lindsay Lohan and Hillary Duff. They are in the same boat a Mandy Moore. In fact, all three have the near impossible question to ask their careers. The question is 'how do I grow my character up with me to expand my audience base without complete alienating the base that brought me there?'

When cute little starlets turn 18, I fear for their careers. Suddenly they are left with the awefull question of 'do I dirty myself up to be sexy and alienate my tweener base, or do I stay clean and watch my base and roles dwindle away?'

The Olsens went cute and have become persona non grata in Hollywood. Anne Hathaway has done better with The Devil wears Prada, and a 'serious' film that her younger fan base won't or didn't want to see with Brokeback Mountain. Lohan Keeps trying to be cute on screen while being a ,um, car wreck in real life. I think her career is toast unless something good happens fast towards her. As for Moore, she has this wierd chick flick audience I would prefer avoid. I really have little opinion about her or her career. She can manage to be more obnoxious than to Olsen twins.

i do believe that mandy moore has taken the step into adulthood better than any teen star i've known in recent times. she may have used her singing career as her foothold here instead of the acting one, but she's today one of the most well-respected people in hollywood....though her recent roles haven't helped at all....

i really think she needs another role or two like 'a walk to remember' to get back up and running....otherwise she's in danger of joining the kate hudson kind of chick who's known best for her role in almost famous, but has little other than lead actress roles in mediocre comedies like 'how to lose a guy' and 'you me and dupree'....both these women have tremendous potential and probably should look into the idea of a new agent....

Hillary and Lindsey are frickin jokes. As is Hannah Montanah. A concert where she plays her alter ego(gay) and herself. How Fuc#$$ stupid is that. seriously. Its the same f'ing person. Same voice. Same Dam music. I mean come on. People pay for this crap.
Anyways. Does anybody else think Orlando is way overated. Troy. seriously. Is he gonna play a not good word that rhymes with wussy in all his movies.
