Yeah, starscream was pretty much a self-serving coward in the show, that's why he was a bad guy. "Hey kids, look at these negative character traits, don't emulate those."

Well, they've got to set up the inevitable sequel somehow.

... And a tentative synopsis (only theory at this point) that you can read if you look up 'Transformers 2' on the iMDb. Of course if it is accurate then you'll spoil the whole thing for yourself.

It is pretty obvious that there is going to be a sequel because at the end Optimus Prime said "We are ready and waiting on planet Earth"

I read somewhere the other day, however, that the next film might actually be a prequel. The statement came from a cast member, too, but I can't for the life of me remember who.

Of course, at this point, who knows?

Now that i think of it, that would make a lot more sense than a sequel. They never really showed much of the battle between autobots and decepticons that lead them to earth.

I do not think there will be a movie like that. With no human as a character, box-office earnings will be much much lower.
So my guess is a sequel. Also, interesting how megatron will escape the dark depths of the ocean. Should be interesting and should happen early in the movie

If you're really interested to see how Megatron would escape, look on that IMDb synopsis; it's in there.

Now, who likes those ideas? Not me, no no no... Dinobots and Constructicons?
Man, if they turn this franchise into another crappy-made-just-for-money franchise, with no sense of cool, then the hell with hollyshit...
Look at shrek... the first two movies were ok, the third, hmmmm, annoyed the crap outta me
