Well this is what everybodys been waiting for. Jackie Chan and Jet Li are finally going to star in a movie together. I haven't seen a preview but it already sounds like one hell of a movie.

don't like martial arts in movies much, just when they're used for good comedic relief (or in certain cases - looking at you Ratner - for good comedy)
hence, jackie chan's my man....

Gotta go with Jet Li.
Steven Seagal? Come on... the guy hasn't put out anything except for B-grade direct-to-video stuff in years. And even he is getting a little long-in-the-tooth for straight martial arts stuff.
How could you include Steven and not Jason Statham? Have you not seen The Transporter? It was totally badass. (The fact that he abandoned his martial-arts coolness is what made Crank one of the worst movies of last year.)
But I'm still going with Jet Li. I love Jackie, but I can't think of a single martial-arts movie he's done that haven't been what you'd call "comedic". Contrarily, Li has been dead-serious in almost everything he's done.

Personally, I'm not so into the modren martial arts stuff. What about the martial arts in Batman Begins? that was very well done and one of the few convincing modern portrayals. Personally, I more go for the stuff like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

I find Jackie a lot more entertaining, but in terms of pure bad-assery-ness, Jet would whoop his butt, hands-down.

yeah, they're both pretty cool asians but Jet Li gets straight to business, whereas Jackie Chan tells jokes first to make the fight more interesting.

and shryke, i just meant jackie's comedically twisted martial arts in the RH movies interest me far more than serious martial arts movies....

I gotta go with mister jackie Chan on this one.
I'm a big fan of Jet Li, he's an awesome martial arts fighter, a real badass.
Sure he's as much a comedian as he is a martial artist. But Jackie Chan created an art form. Combining the basics of silent films humour and the mastery of fighting.

Tuan69, what didn't you like about Unleashed? I thought it was an above average action/ b-movie with a well resp;ected cast. Was it that it isn't the typical Li film or something else?
Shryke, as for Statham, he is probably one of my favorite pure action actors. Who would have thought that his career would go where it did after his first role in Lock, Stock, and 2 Smoking Barrels?
As for his poorest film, i would have to say Transporter 2. At least Crank never attempted to touch down on reality so it continue to be over the top rediculous fun. Transporter 2 had a hard time following its own movie physics.
