Yes, I think so. I've enjoyed hearing everyone's opinions so far, and I bet the non-summer seasons will have much more varying scores as they are much more diverse films, not just the blockbuster stuff which will please most.

yes surfer i agree it should much wider range of ratings due to the many types of films. so its on if everyone wasnt aware voting for the summer films close on Tuesday September 2 after Labor Day Weekend with the release of Babolyn A.D. i will then do the final calculations and release the list of how the films of the summer stacked up based on the ratings. I will then make a thread for September-December and then repeat.

Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3-D ***/****

A very entertaining directorial debut with great 3-D. Anita Briem is one hot geologist.

Young@Heart ***/****

It's fun to watch old people sing newer songs (the Stayin' Alive and I Wanna Be Sedated music videos are pretty good). Also sad at times but it's great that they conquer old age with the singing.

OK. This may upset you some, but I saw the Dark Knight and... 7/10. I thought it was artistically a great movie. Everything from the action scenes, to the acting, to the score, etc. was very well done, and that's probably what earned it an extra point or so. But I didn't really like the movie. There were parts I didn't understand (which I may would have if I had seen Batman Begins), the running time didn't really bother me, but some parts felt too unnecessary and some parts seemed either too rushed or too drawn out. The theme of the movie I completely did not understand, like how he is "not a hero". And the Joker made me so mad that I couldn't even enjoy myself. Well, sorry to ruin all of those 10/10's for you.

You didn't like watching the Joker??? The Joker is what makes me want to watch this film again and again. The character is perfect. And yeah, it may have helped if you watched Batman Begins first.

Heath Ledger gave an awesome performance as the Joker, which made me hate the Joker even more.

Heath Ledger was the best part of the film for sure he was the only thing that was perfect i would have given this an 8 if it wasnt for him.

I have very few movies that i give a perfect score. I detract points by stuff i didn't like in the movie, and i seriously couldn't find anything that i didn't like or that i would change. So i give it a 10/10.

One of my favorite scenes was when Joker was trying to get Dent, and the real batman shows up and he goes, 'hmm'

P.S. Although if Two-Face is a main character in Bat 3, i would give it a 9.5/10

P.P.S. J.I., You got to see Batman Begins, which is actually the main reason why i was looking forward to this movie (I have to admit the advertisement and viral marketing was insane though). Also I'm confused, Why exactly do you hate the Joker?

Okay Wow. TDK is awesome! 10/10

I don't know if it was just the atmosphere, or the audience's reactions but when I saw TDK on opening night (it opened here this past Wednesday), it blew all my expectations away. I knew it would've been great but it just completely left me satisfied wanting to change nothing. And I finally had that 'OMFG that was cool!" moment with the whole batcycle and trailer truck scene.

Hellboy2 - 7/10

I really loved the first one, but I didn't enjoy this one half as much. I didn't like how the scenes played out. It felt drawn out and tired. I didn't like the characters as much either. Blair's character got burnt down to a love interest.

Get Smart - 8/10

It was really funny, and goofy, and Anne Hathaway is smokin' HOT.

Its just that the Joker made me so angry that I couldn't even enjoy myself. He could kill people for no reason and seem so justified by doing it. I just wanted to shoot him so badly. Everytime they caught him they pretty much just let him go, I was just like "Kill him, NOW!"
