No, I didn't. If I did, then it was unintentional.

Oh, that quote. Yes, I did quote Bryan Adams.
Meanwhile,
Redbelt ***/****. Another good Mamet film. It's a samurai film, a crime drama and a film about the media all in one.

I'd give Iron Man an 8 out of 10, it was a breath of fresh air based on all of the crap that has come out this year.
Which brings me to another point. Do you guys think that some of the money Iron Man raked in the past 2 weekends has anything do to with the fact that movie goers were itching for a good movie?

A good movie? Yes.
A good, well-advertised movie? Yes.
A good, non R-rated movie? Yes.

I have to disagree with the statement that nothing good has come out this year. I think Iron Man was the third best film of the year, and I gave it a 9/10. I thought Cloverfield was awesome and its at number 70 on my all time list. It was clearly a love/hate movie. Also, I thought In Bruges was a teriffic movie and was overall better than Iron Man. Rambo was also pretty good, but not as good. And I still haven't seen Vantage Point and 21, both of whicj I want to see.

You need to see Under The Same Moon and Charlie Bartlett.

Nothing memorable till Iron Man? Wow, what a sad movie existence you live in! So far for me as was mentioned obviously Iron man, In Bruges and Charlie Bartlett, additional to those for me memorable pics so far this year were Penelope, Paranoid Park, 21 (!!!), The Bank Job, and even Forgetting Sarah Marshal.
