Okay. everyone knows you can still watch normal dvds in a blu ray player right?
I've got a blu ray but have no intention of switching over to fully blu ray. so far the only movie I saw worth buying on Blu Ray is pirates. And of course when paramount rereleases Transformers on blu ray .
The way I see it. You don't have to get rid of your old crap. But in a couple of years it won't be so easy to get anymore. I have well over a couple of hundred movies on vhs. I don't watch them on a regular basis. But I still have them and don't look to getting rid of them anytime soon.
And just because I have a blu ray player doesn't mean I'm gonna stop buying dvds. I don't really see much difference. Of course I don't have an hdtv either.
But as long as dvds are cheaper I will be buying them unless the movie deserves my hard earned money for the hd format.
And I agree on digital not taking over hard copies. Not everyone can afford BA connections that allows them to download songs in minutes. I'd much rather just buy a cd. Much easier. That and they still put cd players in cars. and until they starting only installing mp3 docking stations. CDs are gonna sell.
As for digital movies. Do people really watch movies on their computers. Seriously. What makes a computer better than a home entertainment center. Is there really a need to carry all your movies digitally with you everywhere you go with you fancy little laptop. WTF. I don't see the point. Cross country road trips. Maybe. Anything else. Is retarded.
Unfortunately I think there will be a time not so close to now where everything becomes digital. When that day comes we will be a sad human race and will probably never have to leave our homes.
How did we get to the top of the food chain again???
Take away our fancy electronics and weapons and see how many survive.
