I forgot one, I forgot one!!!!!

Was in Indianapolis at Broadripple (many bars/clubs in one area) drinking with some friends and guess who is at the bar. Jared. Yes the Jared from Subway commercial fame. LOL He was hitting on this little blonde and I was pretty drunk at the time. I asked him (mid-flirt) if he was drinking a low-cal beer. He got kind of pissed and my friends were all laughing hysterically. Later I saw him hitting on a brunette so it must have worked.

And yes I am kind of an asshole when I am drunk. Or was, as that was when I was single. I have settled WAY down now that I am married.

The main reason I am bringing up your post is that when I first read it, the last name Coleman didn't register, so I kept thinking Gary Cole was hitting on you. All I could think of was Bill Lumbarg hitting on somebody.

"Yeaaaaaaaah, can you move a little to the right. Yeaaaaaaaah, you are looking very sexy. Now, I think you should put your number on the back of this PTS report. Yeaaaaah, that's be great."

It was just such a revolting, yet strangely hilarious picture going on in my head. Although, that is a pretty good description for anything that pops in my head.

Anywho, that's all.

Haha. I totally would've gone out with Gary Cole.

Gary Coleman is so friggin short. I'm 5'3" and that's short already. Gary did not look so good when he came into the store. He had bags under his eyes. He looked like he hadn't slept in days or had a few drunken nights.
He looked like he was just kind of wandering around.

For a while, Gary was in some Cash Call commercials out here, and anytime I saw that ad, I couldn't help but get a little nauseous and then change the channel.

Lovely:

Nico, you geek...
[Laughing] Guilty. Though, I prefer "dork."

bennettarthur:

When I first moved to New York I saw [Denis] Leary...
That's awesome. I'm jealous.

It wasn't till I saw Heather Graham and Brittany Murphy that I realized who he was.
I think I might actually have blanked out and forgotten my own name once I saw them. Wait, who were you talking about, again?

In the same neighborhood I used to pass [Jon] Stewart regularly while he was walking to his morning coffee shop. Exchanged nods with him, too.
I can just imagine his self-amused smirk as he nods at strangers, soberly: Hi. How are ya. Just doin' my job, ma'am. ROTFL.

Once I was waiting for an elevator in court and right next to me was Rosie O'Donnell
I would have surreptitiously glanced at the posted freight capacity.

We used to see Jimmy Fallon...all the time.
I now, officially, hate you.

cRAzY:

...Nico. Oh Nico. I know I sound like a broken record. But man you never cease to crack me up. Guess I should be expecting it by now. But I never do. And thats the beauty of it.
You and the guy from Memento should get together and write a joint autobiography. Every page would start the same, though.

...lilly's getting hit on by Gary Coleman...that is hilarious...
Whatchoo talkin' 'bout?

ROTFLMAO!!! Oh, my God. I'm remembering a great line from Broadcast News: You're a prick... In a great way.

What they don't know won't hurt us.

Don't tell Mrs. Brady.

OKay, that's fun... the notion of celebrity is not the same from one country to another, but I'll keep it on the "Famous internationally level".

Some I've just seen, some I've chatted a bit, but here are a few celebrities I remember meeting one way or another in the last few years.

I have to start with Monica Bellucci, because Monica and I have a long history together *lol* I've first met her randomly walking around with my sister about 10 years ago in Paris. We were in the jewelry storre, and there she was, in the middle of summer, so gorgeous it should be forbidden. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack, all I could do was stare *lol* I then met her a few years later at a movie premiere on the Camps elysées, and again, all I was able to do was stare (the fact her cool husband Vincent Cassel was there too didn't help me !).

Another great memory was encountering Maggie Cheung at the movie theater I go the most one sunday afternoon, eating popcorn right next to me !!!

Here are a few others :
Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Michael Cimino, Nicolas Cage, William Friedkin, Barbet Schroeder, Daniel Day-Lewis, Elijah Wood, Alex de la Iglesia, David O. Russell, Pedro Almodovar, John Malkovich, Joel Schumacher, Emmanuelle Beart, Jeanne Moreau, Isabelle Huppert, Audrey Tautou, Jean-Pierre Jeunet...
I probably forget a few, but the essential is here

I shall never do this emmanuel...
because...
1. Jeunet directed one of the 10 best films ever, Amelie.
2. He codirected 2 of the finest genre films of the 90's, Delicatessen and City of Lost Children
3. "A very long engagement" was a very good WWI film
4. Because, I'm sorry to say, "Alien Resurrection" is still a hundred times better than Cameron's "Aliens" which is too much based on big explosions and profusion of aliens.

My very first celebrity encounter:

NYC - I was 9 sightseeing with my parents and we were going to the coca - cola building, I ran ahead to go into the building, but when i opened the door i saw some men in suits, so I stepped aside and let them through and waited for my parents to catch up. When they do my mom just says, "Aly, don't you realize who that is?!" I look over and see the rugged but handsome visage of Robert Redford. He gave me a big smile and waved as he got into his limo. Side note: The Sting has been a favorite movie of mine since I was 8

First Notable celebrity meeting:

I worked at a country club here in texas for many years. On one very humid hot day, I got there late after school, a mass of makeup-less frizz. Immediately upon clocking in a hear the buzz among the waitresses that Luke Wilson was in the men only bar/lounge. One of my first tables was a very polite older couple, after taking their drink orders and then chatting with them a bit the man told me that luke wilson was in the other room and that he would consider it a personal favor if I could go ask him to come in and speak with them, as they were his god parents - I of course responded with alacrity. And so, I went in to the smoke-filled sports lounge and walked up to Luke. He looked up at me with distinct curiosity mingled with what could have been slight annoyance tinged with a bit of arrogance. I told him what I had come in for and who was waiting in the other dining area. His countenance completely changed. He jumped up, excused himself from his current companions and said of course he would come with me, with a huge smile. I was fairly surprised to find he was about my height. Once I guided him to his god parents, I left to continue working. when i returned later to their table, they kept me there to chat for a bit. He was polite and in good spirits, but quite arrogant -- but his godparents are sweet and nice tippers. The End.

Wow, Chien, wow. Alien Resurrection better than Aliens? Them's fighting words. I'll agree with you about Jeunet, he's a good director, but Alien Res was awful. Yes, Aliens was an action film, but it was a great action film, full of tense and brilliantly constructed set-piece. Hell, you could even see it as a critique of American foreign policy if you wanted. Sure, it's not like Alien, but it was a superb and surprising sequel. Alien Res, on the other hand, had nothing to offer the franchise. It wasn't ball-out action, nor were the characters in any way interesting. In fact, the film came off as jokey and silly at times.

I too loved Amelie, Delicetessan, and City of Lost Children, but no matter how hard I try, I can find nothing redeemable about Alien Resurrection.

And I'm sure I'm not the first to say this to you

Though I may be the first to actually agree with Tuan!

...No, seriously, I have to admit, I didn't even know who Ms. Bellucci was until five years ago, when she appeared in Tears of the Sun. She so does not look like a woman in her mid-forties.

Here are a few others: Will Smith...Daniel Day-Lewis, Elijah Wood...Pedro Almodóvar, John Malkovich...Audrey Tautou...
That's quite an impressive list, there. Props.

[Y]ou should have punched Jean-Pierre Jeunet in the face for the craphole that was [A]lien [R]esurrection
Alien Resurrection was dogshit. That being said, I wasn't certain Lubezki was actually A.K.A. until just now.

Holy crapping crap! Wow... There's an opinion I never expected to hear from a movie buff. (Except, perhaps, from A.K.A.) Are you friggin' kidding me? I mean, sure, it's not Alien, but 2010: The Year We Make Contact is no 2001: A Space Odyssey, either... yet, they're still both terrific movies. Alien is a cutting-edge horror film-redefiner, a true original; Aliens is an epic popcorn film. They're both at or near the pinnacle of their genres. I just can't see how anyone can hate Aliens, dude, sorry. Maybe it's me.

Alyson:

The Sting has been a favorite movie of mine since I was 8...
[Nodding] Me, too, and it's good to see that an older, not terribly well-known film like that still has appeal among the "younger" generation of film enthusiasts... Props.

Luke Wilson IS arrogant, like just about everyone at a certain level of professional recognition in Hollywood, but once you sit down with him he relaxes a bit and is a very kind, very gracious gentleman. He also comes off as pretty self-deprecating, though I get the dinstinct feeling it's part of his "shtick" and that he thinks it's what people expect of him. Another thing is, he's got an extremely keen mind, and a sharp sense of humor. And, believe it or not, he comes off as far more masculine than he does in the movies. I've spoken with him on several occasions -- he's in the Dallas area a lot, naturally -- and enjoyed the encounter each and every time.

Prime: I'd give my eyeteeth to have met Pete Carroll.

I believe Alyson beat ya. Sorry, I know you were all excited, there.
