My Bottom Five:

The Heartbreak Kid - Wow, wow, wow. The first Ben Stiller movie I have not liked (or in that case, hated).

Rush Hour 3 - Ugh, the first 2 are amazing. Looks like Chris Tucker waited too long to get his money right and ended up making a piece of shite out of a great franchise. You know you have a problem when even Jackie Chan looks embarassed throughout the entire film.

Shrek The Third - I can't say too much about it, since I fell asleep on it. Twice.

Hostel Part II - Would've been sooo much better if all three girls were whores, like the dudes from the first one. And there's a difference between over-the-top good and over-the-top bad, and you Mr. Roth have succeeded in only the latter.

Spider-Man 3 - Simply the biggest dissapointment of the year. Where does one start? The injustice of how little screen time Venom got, the pure stupidity of having The Sandman as the main villian, Harry losing his memory and becoming the gayest retard in years, or focusing entirely too much on Kirsten Dunst....I can't choose. Bottom line - Spider-Man 3 was the worst movie of 2007 (not including all those straight-to-dvd sequels).

Bottom 5 huh?

5. Spidey 3 - The only good part was when Peter Parker went "emo" other then that is was a boring lovefest.

4. Resident Evil: Extinction: Note to filmmaker, No Resident Evil games ever took place in a desert.

3. Hitman - Note to filmmaker: If you are going to use a video game as a source, it would be wise to actually know the video game.

2. I Am Legend: I have never been so frustrated by a movie before. It could have been great. It could have been special. But from the blatant Passion of the Christ video box, to unnecessary cardboard characters, to contrived religious themes, to a ridiculous ending (with a church steeple!), to freakin hunting from a speeding car, I could not give this one a passing grade.

1. Bug/The Invasion - One destroyed a cinematic classic with reshoots, changing directors, shotty scripts, and horrendous acting. The other was just a disaster on wheels. No direction. No plot. It was just 80 minutes of watching two idiots kill themselves. FAIL

1. Reign Over Me
2. Juno
3. Ocean's 13
4. Bourne Ultimatum
5. Walk Hard
6. Michael Clayton
7. No Country for Old Men (like what was being discussed earlier, one where I knew it was good, but just couldn't get into it)
8. 3:10 to Yuma
9. American Gangster
10. (you're going to laugh) Blades of Glory, because it was enjoyable, not necessarily 'cause I think it's a masterpiece.

I don't get the opportunity to see very many smaller films, even though I want to -- I'm just rarely able to find the time.

Jacko, if it's in your bottom 5, i think you completely missed the point of the movie....as a popcorn flick and even as a well-made movie, 'legend' is in my top 10 of the year....definitely!!!!

Death Proof was only okay... but between Planet Terror and the fake trailers, i thought it was brilliant

I completley agree Death Proof was pretty good but the fake trailers [Thanksgiving was comic genius i almost peed myself the rest of them were great to] and Planet Terror was the best zombie film of all time it was genius

Planet Terror is a one-time movie. The only redeeming quality is Josh Brolin's incredible performance. Death Proof is AMAZING!

Sorry, I don't do popcorn flicks very well. I could have also added Rush Hour 3, Breach, Beowulf, Heartbreak Kid, Death Sentence, Chuck and Larry, NT2, and the Number 23.

well, my only beef would be with Chuck and Larry, which I thought was decently funny, and Number 23....where i think carrey gave a great performance....so the ending was cliched, but carrey was amazing as the psychotic....blah blah blah....

on all the others i agree completely with you....

Yeah I'm not liking most of your bottom fives.
So let me remind you of some of the real crap thats come out in 07.

Bratz.
Daddy Day Camp.
Death Proof.(since when do "cult movies" center around a bunch of chicks talking for half a movie.
Evan Almighty
Georgia Rule
Why did I get Married
The Brave One(I see a Segal trend starting here)
Blonde Ambition.
Artic Tale
Bring it on 3? 4? I've lost track
High School Musicals

Surely the movies you all hated cant be worse than the above. Although most of you were lucky enough to not see most of these.

Planet Terror=Great Movie

Death Proof=Another Standard Tarintino movie with a whole lot of talk and a teeny bit of action. The action is pretty awesome when it happens.

Watching a Tarintino movie is like losing your virginity.
You talk about it a lot. Get all hyped up. You know how it is.
You get very close to action sometimes.(sometimes)
And when you finally get charged up enough it comes.
It lasts for maybe a few minutes depending on how much god loved you when he made you.
Then you talk about how great it was for awhile.
Then you do it again. And while still pretty awesome.
Doesn't quite have that cherry poppin feel to it.(pardon me language.)
Then the magic is gone. And you try to relive it. But it just gets old after awhile.
Til the next Tarintino movie comes out.

And the S storm just starts all over again.

p.s. Don't forget you have the rare persons who drool over Tarintino and everything he does so for them it would be more like doing drugs than having the Horizontal fun Dance.
