Smokin' Aces could've been great if they kept their promise to the viewer. 9 assassins going after one target holed up in a penthouse? There was so much potential there but we only get about 10 mins of pre action, most of which is from the Tremor Brothers. I do think Common and Alicia Keys did really well, for this to be their first movie roles ever.

common, sure, but alicia keys didn't impress me too much with her acting....but then again, as someone (was it 6??) pointed out earlier somewhere, her purpose was purely to serve as the eye candy factor....

and i do agree that the movie had tremendous potential but didn't show any sort of ambition to reach that potential....the one positive i took out of it though, was that jeremy piven turned in a stellar performance....
