I'm having trouble with some of my invites - mainly to Hotmail type accounts (like @hotmail.com or @msn.com). They aren't being received and they also aren't getting dumped in the junk mail. It's like they never even existed...

Glad to hear that you have noted our concerns. We will certainly still be here in the future to see how things play out. Which leaves me with one final and completely unrelated question. Why am I listed as a safety coordinator, and how did i get stuck with this job? Maybe I want to switch to product placement or RF Technician...... Thanks again, and good luck to all in the summer season!

Add one more that would prefer a draft league at least as an available option. But fine, lets say its gone for good, then lets get more commish controls on the this new setup. I believe everyone has already mentioned controls I'd like added.
One last thing tho, my league was private and was changed to public, any way I can change that back to private?

Gdog66: Yeah, we're having some weird things happen with some mails to Hotmail accounts, just like you describe. We're trying to figure out why it happens, but in the meantime, you can either forward those players the mail you got when you created the league, or send them a separate mail with the league name and password in it. Sorry for the hassle -- Hotmail is an odd duck for some reason!
Hellgato: Thanks for the feedback, noted on both counts. Re your league, could you send your league name to support@fantasymoguls.com and we'll look into it asap?

The new message board sucks. Why can you only see three lines of text in the "post message" field?!

You can always scroll...
This may not be the case for everyone, but most of the messages I'd post on the league boards aren't longer than 3 lines anyway.

I know this has already been discussed, but I hate the salary cap format.... I play fantasy baseball and football and never play in a salary cap league. Sure the top three movies in the summer are huge, but there are enough other potential hits to make a run of it even if Spidy is not on your slate. I think to just make a change without offering the option of still drafting was a huge mistake. My group of friends have played the past two seasons and I doubt we will be playing beyond Summer. The draft is the best part of the league and having some loyalty and ownership of movies is what made the league fun. Now everyone can own a specific movie if they want and it just takes some of the magic out... please bring back the draft format.

I double-checked in IE7... You can scroll in IE7.
In Firefox (what I use), you can only see the first three lines of the post message field.

I have to agree that it would be awesome if you could pick the format of your league.
That being said, I think summer (May-July) is best done with Salary Cap because there aren't that many PTA indie/small films and the blockbusters will bring in TBO, Top5, and IMDB....which is normally the problem with blockbusters. It's taken me a while, but now realize IMDB isn't that important, especially since you can just pick "3-category films" and march towards victory.
I also enjoy being able to have more than 8 people in a league! Now all my friends and their friends can play together.

So, out of curiosity, could someone post the rankings? Like
1. Safety Coordinator
2. Safety dispatcher
...
201. Executive Producer
I think its very interesting and a great way to encourage people to post while keeping them in the whole hollywood industry role playing aspects. Nice.

In the past, current imdb scores would reflect only movies that had already been released. It was easy enough to figure out since everyone had the same number of movies so one could say "so-and-so will get a small imdb bounce when movie x comes out."
But now with studios allowed to have different amounts of movies, figuring out the averages is rather confusing. Why not just show cumulative imdb? Always divide the imdb scores of all released movies by 8, no matter how many movies on a slate have been released. That way it's easier to anticipate future imdb scores for a slate once further movies are released. It would also make that category behave just like the other three categories, which are all cumulative.
I have six movies on my slate with Spiderman 3 opened for an imdb total of 5.32, which really doesn't tell me much. What sort of scores make that go up or down, given I only have six films? If it said .89 (S3's imdb score divided by eight), that would tell me a lot more since I know my further five films will add to that total.
