They shouldn't even do Jurassic Park 4 if Spielberg ain't directing. Jurassic Park 3 was so crap.

The declining quality of Jurasic Park isn't the first time Spielberg overmilked an idea with sequels. Remember that great little shark movie beat into apathy called Jaws? So don't be surprised if there is a JP 10 if JP 4-9 make money.

I know Speilberg is probably one of the smartest and talented directors/ producers of all time. But there is the one side few like to discuss- he will milk a concept with the best of them, especially if he is not directing. As high as he has lifted cinema, he is also one of the parties responsible for the dilution of film quality as we presently know it.

I hope Spielberg does direct Jurassic Park 4 because even though i enjoyed 3. 1 and 2 were better. Please Spielberg direct Jurassic Park 4.

Maybe they should reboot the Jurassic series with a prequel. Then do the storyline again without all the crap from #'s 2, and 3 while enhancing the good parts. Just a thought.

It looks like there are a few candidates for the director of Jurassic Park IV, they consist of Joe Johnston, Steven Speilburg, David Lynch, and Alex Proyas.[not yet confirmed] with Steven Speilburg, Frank Marshall, and Kathleen Kennedy as Producers. Several sources also say that Keira Knightley and Laura Dern will star in the film and it is rare that Sam Neil will return. Laura Dern, Steven Speilburg, and John Sayles [screenwriter] are basically the only people who have commited to the film at this point.

Here are several websites researching the film...

There is no way David Lynch would direct a Jurassic Park film, no way in hell. Whoever told you that was joking or extremely mistaken.

Pleeeease don't let Keira star in this one too. She ruined pirates of the carribean 3 for me and almost ruined the first two as well. Luckly Mr. Depp was there to save the day. In potc 3 even he couldn't save the movie from keira

And Lynch directing a JP? Do not think there is even a 0.00000000000000000001% if that happening.

I think Keira Knightley will do good....
there were several websites that mentioned David Lynch as an option but there were also some that said that if Johnston did not direct it than Speilburg would.

Those websites were lying. Perhaps someone WANTED Lynch to direct, but I doubt Lynch ever expressed interest. He turned down Return of the Jedi because it was't his vision. And these days he's gone digital so he can maintain utter independence from Hollywood (hell, he even self-distributed INLAND EMPIRE).

i wouldn't want david lynch to direct it anyway. It doesn't look like Joe Johnston is showing much interest in it but i think he will sooner or later.
