Ahhh, Jim Carrey acting like a doofus in that way only Jim Carrey can. It's been a while, hasn't it? Red Bull... Red Bull... Red Bull!!!

Cue the obligatory Jim Carrey haters, right... about... now!

It looks like a sequel to "Liar Liar", instead in this one, he must say "yes". Oh, brother.

It's actually based on a book written by a British comedian who just decided to start answering 'Yes' to everything he was asked. It was quite an amusing series. And Rhys Darby (Murray from Flight Of The Conchords) is in it. That's enough to make me wanna see it.

My chemical Romance covering a Dylan song for Watchmen closing credits? That's it, the film is already ruined.

I just ordered The Watchmen novel yesterday after reading a scene by scene analysis of the teaser. Looks real good. And now I can actually understand what the heck I'm watching.

hardly. Doesn't sound like the best closing credits ever, but I trust Snyder- the music for the trailer was perfect. Plus the end credits has never ruined a movie for me

so i just looked up My Chemical Romance to figure out who the hell they are.. and (with a little help from Aly) i heard their cover of desolation row.. it's pretty uninspired.. it has a sex-pistols vibe to it..

in other words, it ain't no Where Is My Mind

NSpan, My Chemical Romance are an emo band who market teen angst to diguise their utter lack of talent. To equate them to the sex pistols is an insult. I don't like the Sex Pistols, but at least they represented a movement that had heart and conviction.

that said, the revised Smashing Pumpkins song for the Watchemn trailer did work. I just wonder is Snyder stuck in the later 90s.

I read a thing that said that Snyder just used the music for "irony" because it was a part of the god awful Batman and Robin. The song won't even be on the soundtrack.

Yeah, get all the moviegoers to think that this will be a cheesy movie. Heck don't even have a trailer if that's what you're doing.

bummer.

I read that the song was written specifically for batman and robin - now that is ironic

Its not like they knew the movie was going to be garbage when they wrote the song, just because they agreed to associate it with a movie that ended up sucking, doesn't mean its any less iconic of a song. I think its brilliant (and love the new version, much more dramatic) for the trailer, probably the only other song I can think of that would be fitting but probably not quite dark enough is Take a Bow by Muse... or maybe Apocalypse Please, I dunno.
