So it would appear that Spider-Man 3 will end up just ahead of Shrek the Third and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End as far as total U.S. box office.
But with Transformers and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix looming in July, which one will end up being the champ when all is said and done?
I personally think Transformers is going to nudge both of the other two out. But it will be nip and tuck all the way.

The Harry Potter films have been slowly dropping in BO over the series.
While I don't expect that trend to continue, I think Transformers should beat it slightly.
All three should end up in the same ballpark.

Spider-Man 3 will barely edge Transformers.

I'm thinking 'Spiderman3' holds on ... barely. $332 million should be enough to outdistance 'Harry Potter' and although a juggernaut waiting to be unleashed, are women going to be lining up around the block to see 'Transformers'?

I say something unexpected, maybe more original...possibly one of the following:
Ratatouille
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
The Simpsons Movie
The Kingdom
The Heartbreak Kid
American Gangster
Bee Movie
Fred Claus
Beowulf
I Am Legend
I'll say one of those will end up being the biggest of the year, people are hungry for originality and quality (see Knocked Up's box-office for proof)

C'mon guys, let's be realistic.
Transformers will easily get $350M.
The question is, can it make it to $450M???
I'd say it's got a damn good chance.

I don't think any of those films you listed will be the highest grossing film of 07. The only movie that stands a chance out of that bunch is Ratatouille.

I say that Harry Potter or Transformers have the biggest chance. But who knows?

Yeah I Am Legend might have a chance. Ratatoutille should probably be on this list. Transformers will be the likely winner though.

If spiderman 3 makes biggest f'n movie of the year with all these really good movies coming out. Im laying off movies and going back to reading the books. In my opinion. Spiderman was one of the lamest movies of the year. Fantastic four. Way better. Live free or die hard. So much f'n better. Pirates. Better. Spiderman. Should burn in hollywood hell for what they did to it.

So say we all.
Just popped by BOM's Spider-Man 3 page and it's made $880M worldwide.
Damn that's not fair. If Sony can make that much money from utter crap, imagine, just imagine how much us FM players could have made with a much more better film.

I think Fred Clause could be pretty big. Not biggest of the year but definatley biggest comedy. It will do a lot of repeat business if it is good and families will want to see it even if its not because its got santa. Then there is another one no one is talking about...Mr.Magoriums Wonder Emporium. I think it has huge potential, maybe even Willy Wonka type success
