From my short list from before, (which is short), I am HOPING to add Stardust and Superbad, when those are released.
Right now, all I really liked when I walked out of the movie theatre was:
1. Knocked Up (saw twice)
2. Hairspray (saw three times)
3. Grindhouse (amazing movie experience)
4. Waitress (never wanted a piece of pie so much in my life.)

Bourne and Transformers are about the same for me. I liked 'em both, hard to decide which I liked better. Does that mean I'm "in Matt Damon's fan club" too?
The action sequences are shaky because that's Greengrass' style... it takes getting used to, sure, but I think the fact that it's different is worth something.

Bourne doesn't get me as pumped as Transformers but its still one of my favorite action series along with mission impossible and 'dare i say it' Indiana Jones.

I couldn't agree with you more. Superbad and American Gangster will dominate.

Saying Superbad and American Gangster will be the two best films of the year is an insult to American Gangster.

Jonah Hill is certainly no Russell Crowe.
Now, I know they're two completely different types of movies here, but honestly, Superbad is nothing more than a typical summer raunchy comedy. Everyone lauds the Apatow factor, but he's only producing. He didn't write it, and he isn't directing. It'll be funny in parts, sure. On the whole, though, it looks more like it's just trying too hard to be 'bold' and 'daring', and talk a lot about sex and booze to get its R rating. A friend of mine mentioned to me the other day that the all out marketing blitz Sony is putting on reminds him of the one they did for Ultraviolet. I'll be honest, I thought that movie looked at least decent, by the trailers, and it turned out to be a steaming pile.
But it's true, I haven't seen it yet. I'm NOT saying it will flop, and I'm NOT saying it won't make money; I'm sure it will. I just doubt that I'll be a big fan. I guess we'll see in 5 days or so.

dranscht whats with the hating on Superbad. I mean Seth Rogen Wrote it and Judd Apatow produced and the trailer and uncensored trailer is genius. Only 5 Days left until Superbad yeah also Tuan is Superbad coming out on friday in Austraila.

I'm 'hating' on Superbad because while some think those trailers are genius, they really aren't funny to me. They don't/didn't make me laugh like other Apatow work (whether producing or directing) does. Now, I know that the trailers aren't always indicative of the movie, and I'll still see it nonetheless. All I've really been trying to say is that American Gangster will be a far superior film.
I'll see Superbad on Tuesday or Wednesday, and then we'll see what I think of the movie as a whole.
