8. The Matrix

No surprise. The original Matrix is an all time classic. Revolutionary special effects, a great plot, Keanu in a perfect role for him. Absolutely changed filmmaking. The Wachowski's will always be legends for this film, no matter how bad Speed Racer bombs.

7. Fight Club

Perfect storyline, amazing acting in every role. Edward Norton and Brad Pitt. Awesome twist. A movie I will watch over and over again, even knowing the ending. Wouldn't change a single thing about this movie. The dialogue is so great. Some of my all time favorite quote's come from this movie. "On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero." I love it.

6. Star Wars: A New Hope

No real surprises today. You had to know this was coming. My favorite of the trilogy is the first. It is the one that I just connected with the most when I saw it as a kid. I have seen it far more than I have seen the other two. They are all great of course, and they are all placed high on my list, but there is no contest in which is my favorite. I love the original above all others.

Once again, sorry about the delays. Hope these selections make up for it, although I'm sure you all could have guessed that each of these would show up somewhere in the top 10.

Welcome back geeze! I had hoped that you weren't going to leave us hanging down the home stretch...

8. Groundbreaking. Legendary. Kick-ass in the kick-assiest way. Missssster Andersssonnnnn...

7. Too much to say about this film, so I won't. I'll leave that for others.

6. The greatest film of all time (at the time, and some would say still), the most daring and revolutionary FX, Sci-Fi and space opera film in history. No arguments there.

Only five more to go!

One week after having watched Fight Club about 8 or 10 times I tried to through a quote or a bit of dialogue into every conversation I had. I got lots of odd looks but that week was hilarious.

I would request "Clean food, please," at restaurants and said "I can't think of anything," instead of I don't know or not sure. LOL

Great 3 entries this week Geez.

5. The Boondock Saints

So I first started hearing about this film when I got to college. I had no idea what it was about or why everyone seemed so obsessed with it. I didnt watch it til sophomore year when my roommate had the dvd and we watched it. I was so blown away. I didn't want the film to end. Every scene, every line, perfection. I just love the concept. Its a movie about something that everyone wishes they could accomplish in real life. A film with real heros that anyone could relate to. Who doesn't want to take a gun to the evils of the world? So well done, I wouldn't have changed a thing. So many quotable parts. So well acted by two relatively unknown actors in the lead roles. I love everything about this movie, and that's why it belongs in my top 5.

Ok missed your posts from yesterday, but all three are cinematic classics which will probably go down as three of the most innovative and thrilling movies of all time. Of course I adore Star Wars, and it rightly deserves a place in your top 10. Im a little suprised so few others had included it.

Regarding Boondock Saints, I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard a lot about it. It's weird though it really seems to be a love or hate movie. A lot have described it as a piece of crap with poor acting, terrible plot and terrible dialogue. And then I have also heard the exact opposite, with many of you guys having it in your top 10s. I will have to see it soon to rate myself, probably have to get it online though as I have never seen it in the shops here in NZ.

4. Transformers

My favorite movie of 2007 ranks at number 4 on my all time list. Let me just say that my experience watching Transformers in theaters, was the most fun I've ever had in a theater. I was a huge fan of Transformers growing up. I had the toys, I always watched the cartoons. I was a big big fan. I could not have been more excited for the release of the movie and it did not dissappoint me one bit. I usually go to see movies with my brother John, who I am grooming to be as big into movies as myself, but I took my other brother to see this, who is a little younger, because he wanted to see it more. We both loved it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It was a perfect movie to see on the big screen. Shia really broke through in this role. Megan Fox exudes how damn hot she is. Oh and did I mention how freaking AWESOME the special effects are? The Transformers themselves were just perfect. And it wasn't just a movie built around shit blowing up. I really thought the storyline was perfect. I felt for each of the characters and really pulled for them. Maybe this stems from my love of the franchise, I don't know. I walked out knowing that the movie I just watched was one of the 5 best films I had ever seen. 2007 was a teriffic year for movies in my opinion, as you see the 7 that made my all time top 100. This was the crown jewel. It was the best movie of last year by far and I personally can't wait for the sequel. I would rank it only behind The Dark Knight in anticipation level, and only because TDK comes out so much sooner.
