10. Pulp Fiction

Number 10 is my favorite film by the great Quentin Tarantino. This film proves just how great a movie can be when you mix amazing dialogue with intermitent periods of chaos. Every scene is so well scripted, so well designed, so well directed. Each character has a place in the film that would make it vastly different without it. The actors play their roles to perfection, every single one. Not a single wasted performance. So much tension, so entertaining. Funny and gritty. It's a perfect movie, and it is a great way to start off my top 10.

A predictable, but good, choice, Geez. Pulp Fiction was the film that arguably got me into cinema. Or at least films that weren't all spectacle.

Good choice geez, I prefer Reservoir Dogs, but that's just personal preference. Both movies are sublime. I do get the feeling your trying to boost your post count now though geez, one post per movie is a bit much!!! At least I rake in my post counts unitentionally with irreverant crap, this is just blatant post boosting!

Not a bad choice, geeze, but I'm of the same mind as Nico re: Pulp Fiction... that it was marginally overrated, and substanially less than the sum of its parts. And while Reservoir Dogs revived the genre of film noir that was all but dead at that point in time, I have to give the crown for QT's best film to Kill Bill, or to be more precise, Vol 1., for those who count them separately.

Surfer, I'm not post boosting, I couldn't care less about my post count. This was the plan from the beginning, this way I can say more about the individual film and not bore you with 5 long paragraphs per update. These films are the most special to me, they each deserve their own special post. I could have done this for the top 20, as they are all arguably just as special to me, but I left it at 10.

It's ok, geez, I was only pulling your cord!! its always good to here everyone's views on individual movies. This thread has had much better legs than my one, created by much more debate. I commend you on your format.

You knew it was coming. It's my all time favorite comedy. Belushi and Aykroid are amazing together. Not much else to say, sorry it came so late, been a very busy day.

Yeah, no surprises there. I defy anyone to name a movie where more cop cars were destroyed.

Great soundtrack, great chase scenes, ten million celebrity cameos, and every line a memorable one.

Cool choice, geeze. Now fix the cigarette lighter. (Grin.)

Really wish I had seen this more than I have. Don't think I've watched it for at least ten years, and probably only seen it twice in total as well. I should probably get the dvd to see what I've been missing as it's never been too important to me, but so many people love it.
