I'm thinking the next Blair Witch Project/Big Fat Greek Wedding/Napoleon Dynamite, i.e. tiny indie movie with no well-known people that gains great word of mouth and eventually ends up making a ton of money.
My pick? Eagle vs Shark

I chose This is England just because I saw it and really, really liked it. Powerful and personal.

I guess "Eagle vs. Shark" is the favorite. But it's looks like a cheap rip-off of "Napoleon Dynamite". There doesn't seem to be anything new there. A New Zealand take on a popular American film.
I'm biast in hoping it'll be "The Signal". I'm doubtful because the studio releasing it is Magnolia, which has limited reach. While "Evs.S" is being released by Miramax.
"Signal" looks way too cool for school and a worthy installment in the horror genre. Filmed in the ATL (u-way!), this sucker might have a few horror genre cliches, but it's all real baby! Look up the trailer online.

Rocket Science has that quirky type of plotline that could make it endearing to both critics and audiences alike. People love to watch an underdog try to succeed despite all logical odds, especially here in the USA.
These days, people need to see something that gives them hope. While some over-sensitive types may be offended by the jokes around the protagonist--and honestly it doesn't take much to offend some people--the fact that this is not a shallow take on following our hearts' desire will give Rocket Science an advantage over indie genre flicks.

i chose "This is England" but i haven't seen it yet. I just think Shane Meadows
(the director of "Dead man's shoes") will do a great job as a writer and director.

I think Day Watch is also a smart choice; it's an awesome sequel in a cool trilogy, America loves vampires (look at Underworld), the marketing makes it look cool, and on top of that, Fox is excellent at marketing and getting audiences; they know what they're doing

Already, it's not "Daywatch". Fox Searchlight can't sell this movie and feel sorry for the Russians (in more reasons than just this). I hear it's better than the first, which wouldn't be hard to do, story-wise.
I'm hoping not for "Eagle vs. Shark" only because it looks dumb.
I'd say possibly "Wristcutters" or "The Signal".

I don't know why people like Once so much, it's silly and vacuous.
