I have my seats. Maybe we do things differently over here, but when I booked my tickets I booked my seats too. I'm in F38 just to emphasise.

Yea... Its not at all like that here. In genuine Theatres (stage) you get a seat number on your ticket. In movie theaters it is first come first served, so any opening show it requires that you wait in line and hope you didn't underestimate how early the majority of others were getting there.
As someone who plays WOW pretty seriously, my guild's raid (25 person dungeon encounter for those non-gamers) for tonight will actually be ending early in order for people to make it to the theaters in for people to get in line early enough.

Yeah, so if you get there late you have to go right up to the screen and sit where you have to look straight up for the entire movie.

2 screens sold out (in a 6-screen theater), plus a third half full -- all by 5 PM. We'll be onto a 4th and even 5th screen by the time midnight actually rolls around. Yeesh.

The theater near me had one showtime sold out this morning, now they have 5 sold out, with a 12:30 showing also scheduled. That's probably a record for this theater.

Well, would you look at that. With 4,600 votes on IMDb, The Dark Knight currently has an IMDb user score of 9.7! This was a great pick in Ultimate.

I got my ticket earlier while going to see Meet Dave (yes, I saw it). Will be seeing it at 1:00 pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the midnight show there is on SIX screens, ALL SOLD OUT. People were there over eight hours in advance.

There are 6 IMAX screenings sold out so far for TDK in Auckland, which doesn't even get released until next Thursday!! Glad I got my ticket early.

Howard Huge.
Sorry, it sounded like a "How much Keeffe is in this picture" question. (Watch the MST3K episode Cave Dwellers for more.)

The theatre I was at had 4 posted screens for the midnight showing, and was simply taking tickets and directing people to find a seat in any of them (I was a little over an hour early, got a good seat). So basically all the theatres were pretty much full instantly, by the time we get relatively settled and went thru one round of commercials, someone came in to advise us they had opened 3 additional theatres to accomodate non-presales and that from here on we should stick to this particular screen (as well as requesting cells phones be off as they would be removing anyone who had their phone go off). This is at a 16 screen theatre... The local 20 screen had 10 screens scheduled for midnight.... this is effing insane.
