Wow is all i can say i was very very impressed with it.Robert Downey Jr was fantastic and the effects were amazing and the scene with Sam Jackson after the credits damn. One hell of a way to start the summer movie season.

6/10
Which is a good score from me. I rarely give 8 or over. Only my top 25 films get a 10.
Iron Man was very entertaining. Downey was great, there was plenty of humour, a relevant story. It just felt a tad unmemorable, and the big fight at the end felt like only a minor step for a hero. That should mean that the sequel will be better, so I'm looking forward.

I like the idea, Transformers. I'll see the vast majority of those movies listed, but there's a few I can guarantee you will not get data points from me on, (What Happens in Vegas..., I'm looking at you).
Iron Man - 7/10. Numbers, you really echoed my sentiments. I have a similar scoring system as you, (approximately my Top 50 gets a 10, whereas a 6.5+ means I will likely add the DVD to my collection), so this is a positive response. I can't get enough RDJ in my life, (not to mention Jeff Bridges), and he was definitely on point once again. The whole experience was lots of fun and I'm glad I got to see it at the Uptown (a theater in DC that increases viewing pleasure of any movie by a good 20%). But yes, if I had any beef, it was the climax wasn't quite enough for me.

I'm in. Good idea.
Iron Man 8.5/10
Loved it. I am pretty stingy with ratings. I would only give about 3-4 movies ever a 10.
I will also be seeing Indy, Wall E, Hulk, Wanted, TDK and post likely Hancock. Any others will be because the wife drags me to them.
See a trend???
LOL

ok, my rating for Iron Man - 8/10. I think there is still a lot more excitement to come, and would be delighted if I could put a 10/10 on the list for the winter.
Ones Im looking forward to over the winter are Narnia, Indy, TDK, Wall-E, Hellboy 2, Star Wars: Clone Wars, The Incredible Hulk, Wanted, Son Of Rambow, The Happening, Get Smart, X-Files 2, Tropic Thunder and Pineapple Express. I've got a busy winter!!

I wonder if there are people who spend summer in the Northern Hemisphere then go to the Southern Hemisphere when the Northern's winter comes. Like birds, you know.

I seem to spend winter in both a lot of the time. Apart from this year, I will generally go back to the UK for Christmas to visit family for a few weeks. Its a good thing we seem to be getting 6 months of summer at the moment or I'd never see the sun!!

So are we posting all the grades in this very same thread ? If that's the case, let me continue then... and inaugurate the May 9th releases.
No not Speed Racer, which won't be out in Paris until mid June... yes, the other one !!! What Happens in Vegas !!! Yes, I've seen it quickly, I'm amazed myself !!!
Got myself carried away by a couple of friends in a Champs Elysées theater... anyway...
Here's the thing though. I had, believe it or not, a good time. It's not a great comedy, but it happened that it was the perfect movie for a friday night out with friends. Good gags, good characters, very predictable. Lots of laugh.
So... What Happens in Vegas... 6/10 !!!

I kind of waited a while but...Iron Man 7/10. And I'm not like you gus in that I am generous in my ratings. Almost every movie I go to see in theaters I like. That's why I go to see them. Its not that way with movies I see on DVD or on TV. And also I don't go to see that many movies in theaters, maybe 15-20 a year.

What Happens in Vegas: 7/10.
One of the very few RomComs i actually enjoyed. I thought it was funny and has some very laugh-out-loud moments that had the whole theater amused. I know it was predictable, but the story was actually half-good compared to what we usually get with RomComs. The chemistry between Kutcher and Diaz was excellent, and it had some great guest stars as well. Also, it had Lake Bell who i love.

Speed Racer **/****. It's high camp and in previous years would have probably been reduced to the grindhouse circuit. Good to make fun of though.
Also, I'm pretty sure it's a bomb. I went and none of the showings sold out. Iron Man, What Happens In Vegas and surprisingly enough, Made Of Honor all had showings sell out. And with most likely poor word-of-mouth (people even walked out before it was over), it will die a quick death at the box office.
