Please remind me never to pick a Uwe Boll film in Ultimate. Oh well, there's always Ultimate Half Year Part Deux.

Maybe I should keep that in mind then regarding Made Of Honour and When In Vegas then!! But don't think females are alone in this way, I would have been certain before this season that Cloverfield would have beated 10,000 BC, but the idiots of the male gender fell for the Emmerich again.

Well call me an idiot but i thought 10,000 BC was much better than Cloverfield. Although both of the endings really irked me, "you came back for me". I would have to say that is one of the most irritating lines ever!

NEVER PICK AN UWE BOLL FILM IN ULTIMATE!!!!!!!!

lainie, if you really need to be physically reminded of this, then I pray for you. As for me, you couldn't keep me from putting Postal in my new Bankrupts league.

(Sigh.) If it makes you feel better, though, one person actually opted for The Hottie & The Nottie in Round Two... in the ULTIMATE league. I mean, that's... not hot.

(ducking)

seriously, who keeps letting this guy make movies. Its not like he is a succesful director is it?

and also, didn't someone pick The Hottie.. for the their Top 10 List of movies for 2008. That was either a joke, or a very serious mistake.

I had to go with Vantage point. Unfortunately a few of my slates looked like the list of bombs to start this topic out. Wow Penelope was terrible. I gambled thinking it might make something. WRONG!
Vantage Point did pretty well for me and that slate is currently #2 in one of my leagues.

I've learned to be wary of any movie which has been bumped back. Penelope, Like Be Kind was one of those. If Deception wasn't so cheap in these leagues, I wouldn't have it on my slates either. There is obviously a reason they get bumped back, and it usually affects their performance.

Which I guess makes Vantage Point (which was also bumped back) the exception to the rule.

Didn't know Vantage Point was bumped, so I guess there are the odd execptions.

This depends entirely upon how you define 'success'. If you mean good at creating a product that returns a very healthy dividend to the investors, then, no, he isn't a success. If you define it as being able to secure investors who can use their lost investments in his films as tax write-offs, then he's very successful indeed!

Favourite Uwe Boll moment comes from 'Alone in the Dark.' "Love" scene between Slater and Reid with that 'Seven Seconds' song playing in the background. Tragically funny, heh heh. The only other good moment might be from 'House of the Dead' when Jurgen Prochnow is in the vicinity of a 'U-Boat Captain' crack. Funny only if you've watched a much better film by Wolfgang Petersen film.
