Other new dates/changes of note:
-The Bank Job, a heist movie with Jason Statham, is set for 3-7-08.
-My Best Friend's Girl, a Dane Cook/Kate Hudson romantic comedy, is set for 9-19-08.
-I thought I heard that there'd be a year before the next installment, but Saw V is apparently set for 10-24-08. (Why not on Halloween itself?)
-The Samuel L. Jackson/Bernie Mac comedy "Soul Men" is set for 10-10-08.
-And "Teeth" has been moved AGAIN, but this time only from 1-11 to 1-18.

I think anything competing with wall-e is gonna lose. Cruises movie might do okay. But nothing beats a Kids movie during summer.
Anyways. We didn't have a 21 preview on our Golden Compass. But if its got Spacey and Fishburne its definately got potential in my book.
Either way. Wanted is probably in my top ten can't wait to see list for the new year.
p.s. Anybody else seen the preview for Jumper yet? I'm curious to find out what everyone else thinks about this movie. It looks iffy to me. Although I consider myself a pretty big fan of Christensen and Jackson so Its on the good side of iffy.

I thought saw V was supposed to come out in 09 with VI coming out the year after?
Anyways. Being the huge saw fan I am .
I have serious doubts about this movie.
None of the original director writers are coming back for this one. IV only had bousman and it was confusing as crap. I can only hope and dream for this one to be good. I hate to say this but they should've stopped at 3.
But as always. I'll wait for a preview before I start really worrying or getting excited. The storyline looks good so maybe I won't be to disappointed.
p.s. Jumper looks pretty sweet

Jmpr looks like crap. Sorry, I have a severe disliking for Hayden Christiansen's (lack of) acting skills. Wanted looks like crap. I watched Day Watch to try and give the director a chance but the story was incoherent. Take out the special effects and you've got a below average overlong movie. 21 looks like crap. I saw History channel specials about this sort of stuff. No amount of pizzazz will take away from the premise that all this movie is about is someone sitting down playing cards. In other words, watching someone sit ont hie hands for an hour and a half.

JackO, your favorite movie is Citizen Kane, isn't it?

Yeah Citizen Kane is great.
Let's watch a movie about a rich guy who buys lots of stuff and gets very angry when it comes to love.
What a fun movie!

I'm not terribly thrilled with 21 either, not because of the card-game aspect, mainly because the dialogue seems cliched and I haven't been too impressed with Kevin Spacey lately. Still, I think card games, when used effectively, can make for some pretty nifty scenes. Curious, JackO, did you like Casino Royale?

I would throw Rounders into the mix of great uses of cards in a movie. I really hope that 21 ends up being good because there has been a lack of good card movies (look no further then Lucky You).

i agree that there have been a lack of decent movies of that kind since Rounders....i haven't watched Lucky You....anyways, 21 caught my interest because it seems like all the good aspects of Ocean's Eleven meets the bright side of Smokin' Aces....let's see how it turns out though....i'm reserving judgment until i see another trailer and will just leave it at 'the movie shows potential, and i'm looking forward to it'....
