transformers2, giglifan: ...Oh. [Shaking head, rolling eyes] Well. Dont I feel STUPID?!?!? LOL... Erm, [ahem] carry on, then. Yes. Well.
A_Roode: Eh, we rats are global explorers. Sewers are just like roads, they connect pretty much everything (except, you know, Antarctica. And Madagascar. And that DESTINI site in Alaska where The Government uses targeted gravity waves to create global warming. [It actually exists, btw; it's called HAARP. Yes, I know, sounds like a generic plot contrivance from Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins {and Ends} to me, too, but it's REAL! I swear it is! It's on Wikipedia! --Seriously, look it up or read David Brin's exceptional end-of-days novel Earth if you're curious. {And remember: Just 'cause you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't really after you}]).
...DID I REALLY just need }]) to close one of my (in)famous digressions? Wow. Just... wow. Anyway, I'm a world traveler. All roads lead to the ocean, after all, and rodents have this affinity for ships. Particularly oft-diseased ones like yours truly.
Shryke: I hear ya. Workin' on it.

...Well, earlier you said "I live in Rhode Island" when you were objecting to throwing down in Newfoundland, so I presumed you, you know, knew where you actually were.
I love Massachusetts. I spent a lot of years in New England before ending up in Texas, myself. My family used to spend summers on the Cape (Cod, for those not familiar with the Bay State). To this day I remain a proud member of Red Sox Nation. (I mean, who am I gonna root for? The Rangers? The 'Stros? Seriously.)
I remain, as always...

giglifan,
You are of course welcome to your opinion.
I don't think I actually have mocked anyone. Besides, I was talking to transformers2. A+B(=)C.
Erm, I type the noises I make. Sometimes.
I have hobbies. I like hobbies. This is one of them!
I am, as Shryke has noted, a walking, sentient (possibly autistic) Wiki.
I do talk about movies. This is a public Forum, not a column. All sorts of topics are pretty much constantly under discussion. And you are not my, nor anyone else's editor, as far as I can tell.
...My, you're brittle.
Take a deep breath and relax. Certainly there are things more important than this (or me) to get worked up over. If you don't like what I write/say (type, really), please consider this an invitation to ignore me.
I remain, as always...
Nico.

Yeah I agree about Shrek 3, even though it might only make about $250M, unlike Spidey and Pirates' $400M predictions, it definitely won't be considered a bomb as it's budget is considerably less than those films.

Jesus..... Who let Jack here out of his box??
Dude, you're running a serious risk of making your fellow countrymen look bad.
Ever heard the saying that "Newfoundlanders are living proof that eskimos f*@#ed elephant seals?"
No?
Me neither; I made it up solely based on little ol' you...
Anyway, as much as your little spate of posts amused me for a nano-second, I'm bored with you now so be a good little lad and go chop off your fingers for us willya? Hmmm? Willya??
There's a good fella......
By the way, I haven't written this to bait you into replying and thus starting a game of verbal diarrhoea tennis.... life is seriously too short.
If you do feel the urge to respond, and you will, know that I won't be engaging you any further.
No, it doesn't matter if you accuse my momma of being the elephant seal in question..... I won't bite, and I suggest that everyone else who feels the same way to react in a similar fashion.
If you're gonna act like a kid, prepare to be treated like one. In the event that you actually are a kid, well then, you should already be used to it so carry on but don't expect me or anyone else (I hope) to give you any more time.
On the other hand, if you want to play with the grown-ups, that's great.
Ask valid questions, contribute worthwhile answers, be nice, show respect to other users and you'll get on here like a house on fire.
It's that simple.
OK... there's 5 minutes of my life that I'm never getting back....

OK, so you don't actually come from Newfoundland, but the sentiment stands; Please feel free to remove the word "Newfoundland" and replace it with wherever it is you do come from....
P.S - My apologies to any Newfoundlings that may have been harmed during the making of this post....

Shrek will do less than #2, but the bomb (as much as I can't wait for it) will be Die Hard. It will be the Miami Vice or Stealth of 2007, action that people don't want to go see.

Wide Release Movies That Will Do Poorly:
Lucky You
Georgia Rule
Bug
DOA: Dead or Alive
Death at a Funeral
I Know Who Killed Me
No Reservations
Skinwalkers
Underdog
Stardust
Fanboys
Obviously there will likely be some others that flop but those ones in particular I'm fairly sure will do bad business

Nancy Drew may do better than any male will want to admit if only because of lack of competition against the type of movie it is. This could be a girl's movie/chic flick that mothers will love to bring their daughters to see because they grew up around it. And as for the young female audience, it has a larger pull than any many realizes or would like to acknowledge. Princess Diaries or The Devil wears Prada anyone? Or the on cable phenomena known as High School Musical?
Secondly, the conversation overextends the concept of a bomb. Delta Farce cannot bomb if only because it has no budget to speak of. It may not do great, but unless it goes completely belly up, it will make money and, therefore, not bomb.
As for bombs, I would be concerned for Ocean's 13, Die Hard and Shrek the Third. They could be perceived as moneymaking hack jobs by the masses and then they would go belly up.
I think Spidey and Harry Potter are bomb proof. Spidey was intended as a trilogy and has a cohesive story for people fall back on. Harry Potter is based off a behemoth of a book series and done right has legs to stand on.
I would be concerned about the talk of a fourth Spidey and and the over truncation of the Harry Potter tome decreasing extra profits and poisoning what been solid movie series.
