nice choices JackO. Some of my favorite posters this year are on your list. Charlie Bartlett, Knocked Up, and American Gangster. I'm going to have to disagree with you on the AVP Requiem poster though. I think it's pretty rad-action compared to most. Some that I think blew fully-loaded chunks would have to be Delta Farce, I Know Who Killed Me, and The Invasion.

I'm guessing none of you have seen the bratz poster. Sorry. No link. I'm lazy. and Hurried. Check it out. Although its not worth the time because its dumb.

I actually sort of liked the posters, artistically; the movie is unquestionally bad but the art was somewhat decent

They could've been a lot better but they weren't that bad.

I have to say Bee Movie has the most completely worthless movie poster of the year.
It is followed closely by Are We Done Yet and Norbit for sheer retardedness.

Juno's poster might not be the best or the most flattering, but it gets the point of the movie across effectively enough.

Besides, the poster for Juno isn't going to prevent it from being a success (which it defintely will be).

Bee Movie's poster is just plain, but may appeal to kids (which is the idea). Also, the poster for Mr. Woodcock just annoys me. It's so obvious that Billy Bob Thornton, Sean William Scott and Susan Sarandon are striking poses for the poster, that it just comes off as contrived.

Agreed. They also use the oldest potty joke in the book with the basketballs.

Screw bratz. that movies is not even worth talking about. Did anybody else think dead silence was an awesome poster. Its too bad they prosecute you for selling posters on e-bay. Cause I could make a fortune. I've only been at my theater about two and a half years but already have about a hundred or so posters. all Righteous.

I used to take the posters for crappy movies, or the ones that nobody else wanted, or the ones that we just got 50 of (that happened, really) and made them into book covers for my textbooks.

Good choices. I never saw the Invasion poster that's on Moguls but it is ugly! I guess it fits the film though. Some other bad posters that come to my mind was the poster for Saw 3 and One Missed Call (the USA remake version)

The Saw 3 posters are very effective.
