Drat.. I wrote a whole long post about this yesterday but i must have forgot or closed the window without posting >.<

bottom line: Both WILL be funny. Both have good cast. Balls of Fury will make more money, I have seen it's trailer before every movie I've gone to in the past 2 months I believe, while Mr. Woodcock I wouldn't have even heard of if I hadn't stumbled across it while IMDBing one of its stars... (but then I don't watch tv, so it may be hyped to hell there and I wouldn't know)..

Regardless, Balls of Fury may or may not be the better movie, but it is getting significantly more in the way of marketing.

I REALLY don't like early-mid week openings and the more I think about it, the more aggravating it is for 'Balls of Fury' to be released on a Wednesday. Maybe it won't make any difference at all, but it bothers me that the studio seems to think it needs a jump on the others for that weekend. Does it suggest a lack of confidence? Do they think it'll get killed unless it has a head start? It still makes more money than 'Mr.Woodcock' but damn if I'm not second-guessing myself and developing misgivings about having it on a slate.
