I get in free at my theater and I still drive an hour to go the dollar theater every now and then.
Oh and Discount theaters is more of a slang term for them. The term theater chains use is second run. Because after first run theaters are through with their movies they send them back to the distributor and the distributor sends them to the second run theaters. From there I don't know. Usually DVD.

Regrettably, It will probably get a second chance. It will just be sooner than the studios hoped and short than they desire.

That means it might be ready for a Christmas DVD release. Yay! Because you know everyone who has been naughty is getting sick of coal...
