Barca, I'm glad you went ahead with the 1-vs-1 matchup...should be much more fun that way I think. And thanks again for setting this up.

Woohoo, this is gong to EPIC! Though Ultimate will be a bit of a gong show for me seeing as I just started playing it last month in preparation for this. But whatever, it'll still be fun. Can't wait!!!

The Rules of Bankruptcy

For those who are unfamiliar with 'Fantasy Bankrupts,' you're in for a treat. A great source of irreverent fun, 'Fantasy Bankrupts' ultimately makes you a better player by getting you to think critically about what movies are 'good bets' and what movies are 'bad bets.' But enough of the boring stuff, 'Fantasy Bankrupts' is about trying to pick a bunch of movies that suck and to have the worst slate possible!

In traditional Ultimate Moguls you are trying to score as many points as possible in four categories. In 'Bankrupts' if you score any points at all then you should hang your head in shame. Spend at least $95 and pick EIGHT movies. If you don't spend at least $95 or pick 8 movies, you are disqualified. If one of your movies has it's release date changed, you must fill the spot with a replacement. Do you think that 'The Mummy 3' is going to be a failure? Put your money where your mouth is. Think that 'Blindness' doesn't have a hope of scoring iMDb or PTA? Here's your chance to look like a genius. Pick bad bets show the Fantaverse that you have the right instinct for finding the over-priced, the over-hyped and the unlikely. A bent game with straight forward rules, 'Fantasy Bankrupts' is my bet to be the most entertaining of the three FantaLympic events! May your slates be terrible!

Not to mention who is distributing it. The Weinstiens have a way of screwing up limited releases. They did it to The Promotion and to I'm Not There. They'll do it to this as well

They'll probably open it on something like 150 screens, which means too big for PTA scores, and not big enough for anything else really.
