We are now less than a week away from starting the FINAL rounds. The ones that will decide it all! Can you feel the excitement??

Shryke this is killing me. Can't we just end now and say that Eagle Eye doesn't exist? I can't figure this out. Too many numbers, too many potential scenarios. I think I have synestro beat. I know Donnie Darko will pass me. Girls With Glasses will most likely pass me. I need to get past either tonberry or mr. funktastic to advance. The imdb score jumps and drops are the key to it all. If I do make it, it will be the very last in. It is all so chaotic. Its more exciting being on this end than in the middle or even the top, but this isn't the tournament I want this to be happening in. Maybe I will get by. I am doing well in the others and just want to make it to December. Damn why didn't I just take Batman.

What the fuck. The only league I'm left in is the ULT FY, and that's only because I have an IM saved from 8 months ago.

Dude, I'm bathing in the Red and I could have avoided one if I would have been paying attention to how much I had spent. I'm only safe in the HY Ult. where I did take TDK with a wtf decision. I'm just glad I've got 2 IM's to cash in, although I wanted to finish this thing with both of them unused. Surfer was right this end of the game is a little more exciting. Almost as much as that $1.305B slate I had back in July.

Agreed completely with the 'more exciting' remark Synestro. I've been playing too conservatively but am having more fun being just above the cut line each time than I do in the middle of the pack. Of course one wrong move means I gone, but...

Oh yeah, I did already win the half year box office tournament. Whew, I feel better.

And right now, I am actually counting on Eagle Eye's success. Meaning it needs 5 PTA points. This will drop Mr. Funktastic considerably in that category. About 8 points if I counted right. If it gets 4, he will only drop about 2 and a half. That would be huge, as his imdb is going to plummet to the floor as well. I think I have a better chance of passing him than tonberry, but we will see. I've given up hoping that girls with glasses won't pass me. Now I just have to hope that Banks doesn't get by me.

Pfft, geez we all know those half-year ones count for very little. The FY is all that matters!

But still kudos on that minor victory, hold onto that for the next few months after you get knocked out of FY, it'll serve you well!

so what happens at the end if people haven't used their IM? I am still in the running for BO (barely) but i don't have an IM and lots of other people do- does this mean that I will get edged out no matter what?

I don't think so Aly, I think the IM is just a get out of jail free card, but it has no benefit to your actual chances of winning the league. I haven't earned an IM (yet...) but I have just as good a chance (in that I'm still playing - not that I actually have a chance of beating some of the top guys) at winning the ULT FY as anyone else.

I'm just glad I'm starting to peak when the leagues start getting important, who needs to be great in Jan/Feb, its all about December!!!

I've run through several scenarios, and you make the cut in almost all of them... but take that with a grain of salt.

GWG and d0nnie are undoubtedly safe, but 5 PTA points would vault Banks out of danger as well (and put synestro in). I agree with your synopsis about what 4 or 5 PTA would do to Mister Funktastic. It's going to be MEGA-close.

In the Box Office, I'm certain that A_Roode is going to keep his IM. synestro has a chance to finish in the yellow as well, but not a good one. It would seem that the top spot in the RZ is going to be asw878, but a monster weekend for synestro would spell doom for manincellv.

And Herald was right, Alyson. If you don't use your IM, then you just don't use it. In fact, it's a testament to your game play that you were able to stay out of the RZ for nine consecutive rounds!

Phew I thought you were referring to me for a sec there! Yeah annyong is a bit of a dick... but his name is like my catchphrase now. I just say "annyong" randomly when I've got nothing better to say sometimes. You know what you've gotta do now Donte, vote for AD on that Best Comedy poll that Ron just put up!

Oh and Aly, I STILL don't know why we calll SS Herald... I'm even slower than you are... or is it some cultural reference that I'm not aware of?
