Yes ladies and gentlemen, it is finally here.

Are they RoW players too much for the US to handle? Will Blindness screw over more yanks or foreigners? Did TDK TKO too many slates? All will be revealed in the countdown to the results.

Next weekend is the final weekend for the Fantalympics leagues, and there will be random news/fun facts all week until then.

Please feel free to discuss you results as they stand, BUT PLEASE DO NOT ADD UP POINTS OR MAKE MOCK-RESULTS.. We all want that to stay as a surprise.

The results will be announced matchup-by-matchup, and there will be a running tally with those updates.

Just a reminder about how the points are done:

The points will be awarded like this:

1 point for a league win
1 point each for an overall tie
3 points for the overall win (ie: best of three)
5 points for a clean sweep (ie: 3-0)

For example. If player A and player B were to compete and player A wins ALL THREE LEAGUES, then:

Players A:
1 point for winning BO
1 point for winning ULT
1 point for winning BR
3 points for winning the tie
5 points for a 3-0 clean sweep

which means he would get 11 points for his team.

If Player A were to win 2 leagues and Player B wins one, then:

Player A:
1 point for winning BO
1 point for winning BR
3 points for winning the tie

Player B:
1 point for winning ULT

which means Player A would get 5 points and Player B would get 1 point.

All the individual points will then be added, and the team with more points in the end obviously wins in the end.

Points will also be handed out on final position in the league, however, these are for individual award purposes and not for the team vs team competition.

You will also get points on placement in the overall league. 1st place will get 3 points, 2 place will get 2 points, and third place will get the 1 point.

PLEASE DO NOT MENTION POINTS WHEN TALKING ABOUT YOUR MATCHUPS.. Go ahead and mock/jeer your opponent about how badly you beat him, but keep the points won/lost to yourself please.

Hopefully yes.. But it'll have to be at a time when i have no Uni/Work issues so i can update it and keep it lively.. Best time would be the Dec-Jan leagues cause that's when i'm off Uni and on vacation.

And i would gladly do one for the summer, we need our blockbuster fix.

Serioulsy, though, I got my ass kicked, and Shryke has 3 excellent slates. At least I lost to a pro. But I'd love to have a rematch, if that's possible.

Alot of people feel that sentiment because of TDK and Blindness singlehandedly winning/losing you a slate.

In the next installment of the FantaLympics, i'll give people the option of keeping their matchups if they both want to.

What's the deal with Blindness? According to BOM it's still coming out on September 26... screws up my Bankrupts leagues, but I was never a big fan of Bankrupts in the first place...

Doesn't really matter though, because I think I have J.I nailed down in Ultimate and Box Office

The 'deal' is apparently that it has been pushed back last minute. BoxOfficeMojo sometimes doesn't update till later on, especially if it was supposed to be on limited screens.

Anyway, you'll end up with a draw in the BR league. Both you and your opponent will be disqualified. You for not having a full slate, while J.I spent only $77 on 7 movies.

FUN FACT #1: BLINDNESS

The untimely date change of Blindness has affected 22 slates out of a possible 44. IE: 50% of the competitors were caught unaware, and have been sent packing.

Of those 22 players, 10 were from Team USA, while 12 were from team RoW.

Here's the best bit though, one USA player has a slate that CAN STILL be changed.

These 22 eliminations are Blindness-based only. There are several other players being eliminated for budget/not-enough-movies reasons.

Um...it messed me up too. So maybe we'll tie for that one and you won't get a clean sweep! Phew...that's a relief! (I hope)

I lost to Ashkul by the Blindness DQ that got everybody else. And if there is another FantaLympics and he agrees, I would love to have a rematch with him. I really don't like losing but I like losing by a date change even less...
