28 Days was something special but it was the original Dawn of the Dead that got me into zombie films. Loved the remake too, which is rare.

technically ur both wrong, 28 days later isn't a zombie movie, nobody dies and comes back to life, there still living humans, just insane and beast-like. Although it's probably one of the best horror films ever, in almost every category, IT IS NOT A ZOMBIE MOVIE!!!!!
Support my movie 28 weeks later in theatres eveywhere May 11.

I personally think "Shaun of the Dead" is the greatest zombie movie of all time.

I agree. Where's Shaun of the Dead on that poll?

Evil Dead 2 does not belong on the list, it's not really a zombie movie in the classic sense.
I love the original Dawn and George Romero, some of you know this, but seriously, Shaun of the Dead rocked hardcore.
So does Lucio Fulci's Zombi. How can you not give a nod to a movie where a zombie and a shark fight. If you haven't seen it, check it out, some of the movie will make your skin crawl...
and lets not get into the 28 Days Later zombie semantics debate.

How about Planet Terror, a.k.a the first half of Grindhouse? I thought that was fantastic, although my vote would still have to go for Evil Dead 2, I don't care if it isn't "technically" a zombie flick.

Amen. What made 28 days later so good. I thought it was completely ridiculous and mainly just boring. Next to the blair witch project that was probably one of the hardest movies to stay awake through. Cilian Murphy is a good actor but that movie blew. Shaun of the dead and dawn and Land of the dead kicked ace. serious ace. Snipin zombies off the roof of a mall is classic. And just plain funny. Also though evil dead movies were all good. Very weird though. Especially since the second threw half the storyline of the second one off. That was the most confusing beginning to a movie. Don't think i've ever seen a sequel do that. at least not that bad. still a good movie though. Also gotta give props to evil dead baby. That stuff was scary. lol. for all you who know what im talking about
