The Dark Knight adds another BO record to it's list: biggest 3-day opening weekend! Also noteworthy is a 70% drop for Hellboy II.

A shame for 'HellBoy 2' since it isn't a bad movie -- I liked it better than the first one anyway. It was going to suffer from 'The Dark Knight' as first choice, but I find it hard to believe that with all the sold out showings, it didn't pick up at least some dejected Dark Knight punters.

Actually that's probably what kept it over $10 million. I wasn't expecting this big of a drop but I don't know why you guys are suprised by it. Did I mention BIGGEST OPENING WEEKEND EVER AND FROM A MOVIE THAT WAS IN DIRECT COMPETITION FROM IT?

The sad thing: people saw HANCOCK as their second choice over Hellboy. Didn't they see the horrible reviews?

The point: Will Smith could actually make a film himself shitting for two hours and it would still make more money than Hellboy II. That's how much people love pre-processed, assembly line crap.

Yes, a very sad case indeed. My brother in law, who from my testamonial and reviews he had read, knew that this movie was going to be terrible. Yet had mentioned so to me at how bad it looked. But then he decided to see it. People will literally watch anything as long as Smith is in it.....

With the Weekend Actuals in I am very pleased to see The Wackness bring in another 3 PTA as well as TDK's record breaking OW. TDK should definitely win the PTA race next weekend too so hopefully my PTA scores should see quite a boost. Very good hold though for Journey.

Eddie Murphy...i know you...you the f*ck you man right?

He'll be back, he said he doesn't want to make a shitty one, he wants to make a GOOD movie, yes thats right he actually said that. I believe he will too, with Beverly Hills Cop 4! WOOHOO. Also what about 'A Thousand Words', that looks ok.

Anyone think Brideshead Revisited can claim 5 PTA when it comes on?

It won't take five PTA but it should do nicely, like the director's last film.

Check out these stats about TDK:

The Dark Knight is only $38,000 behind Star Wars Episode III's 4-day opening, IN THREE DAYS!

Using DMC's drops for the first eight weeks of the run, the Dark Knight would have $495.6 million in eight weeks.

$4,636,658 ahead of Dead Man Chest's 4-day total.
$5,369,249 ahead of At World's End's 4 1/2-day total.
$5,999,732 ahead of Spider-Man 2's 5-day total.
$6,788,979 ahead of Spider-Man 1's 7-day total.
$1,075,797 ahead of Batman Begins' 21-day total.
