Watchmen

Looks good, but i was somehow expecting something different. I'll have to let it sink in first. I do have to admit though, the visuals are stunning.

I don't really know what to think about Body of Lies. It looks interesting, has a great cast and director but it seems to be lacking a certain punch. I'll probably be seeing it anyway, but if it starred other people, I might have passed.

The Watchmen trailer on the other hand is perfect. I've seen enough to get psyched, without making me feel like I've seen too much, if that makes sense.

Yeah, I still don't know really anything about Watchmen after seeing the trailer. People unfimilar with the graphic novel will be probably confused during the preview.

I have just witnessed the Watchmen trailer 4 times in a row, and every time I get all tingly. Seriously, probably the greatest comic of all time and it's backed up by music from the my favourite rock band. As Kompressr said, absolutely perfect. I can't wait to see it in the cinemas, even watching it on HD in its largest format just won't be enough. I so hope its attached to my TDK screening. Simply stunning.

Welcome to the forums Eerie, and what you said is spot on. I couldn't agree more. I am so hyped about this film its unbelieveable. I saw it this morning and have so far watched it seven times. I gets better on every viewing. If its on my TDK screening I may go all Donte on the seat in front....

And you were right on The Smashing Pumpkins too, nice to know there is someone else on here who appreciates them.

Oops! You beat me to the punch UDM, oh well. I saw it, just had to post it. Damn. Between The Spirit and Watchmen... the blood is rushing through my head and settling somewhere south of the border.

Holy hell!!! I don't have anything disgusting to say about the Watchmen trailer unfortunately (or very fortunately depending on your personal feelings) but I almost had tears in my eyes. I was watching that freaking amazing trailer and I could see the comic panels that a scene was drawn from and I could almost see the dialogue bubbles. I cannot believe how great it looks. I watched the trailer 3 times in a row and then had to turn it off. I couldn't take any more at that time. Wow, just wow.

I loved the Watchmen trailer, it literally looks they translated the graphic novel onto the screen, which is what I wanted. That just got me excited before TDK, and guess what, my boner didn't go away haha

Well, the watchmen trailer was completely brilliant, loved the Pumpkins song it was set to, perfect. I believe the guy in front of me at the theater summed up the trailer pretty well:

I think I just had an eyegasm

I think we should be wary about Watchmen. It's easy these days with Greenscreen techniques to make something look like a comic book. Sure, Watchmen looks good, but does that mean it will be good? It's hard to say.

After reading the comic, I was flustered at the concept of adapting it. Because it's not just a simple plot, it has a million strands flailing in the wind which all contribute to the quality of the story. To strip it down to its basic plot is to dilute its brilliance. And so far I'm concerned about the abilities of Zack Snyder- because 300 was almost devoid of character.

"Body of lies" need some work on its trailer although Crowe and Dicaprio with Scott directing is enough to get me to see it. . However, the "Terminator" teaser got the strongest "alright" from the audience at the screening I was at.

Did anyone not notice something really concerning about The Watchmen trailer? The Night Owl is buffed up and kicking ass. In the comic he was middle aged and not what he used to be in the body department. I really hope Snyder isn't loosing track of the level of despondancy these characters are supposed to be in.

I did notice that but I ignored it. This trailer is perfect. LOL But the trailer needs more Rorschach.
