Wow, the FM people were on the ball today, having the updates all done by the time I got home from work! Kewl!

First, a heads-up... to all contestants who survive the next cut in the FY tournaments (which, BTW, will reduce the field to just over half of what it was when we started), you can expect an e-mail from me that will contain not only the passwords for Round Eight, but also a query about possible end-of-the-year prizes.

We are now a week away from the entry deadline for the July leagues, and the following players still have not signed up:

Haasing1986 - has not signed up for the two 2nd-Half tournaments, but HAS signed up for the Ultimate FY. Don't know why.

jennyg - Ultimate HY.

platinumbear - my perennial procrastinator. It's Round SEVEN, dude!

stajan9 - just got back from Africa. Entered the 2nd-Half BO, but still not the Ultimate.

TeeBeeBee - is in Round Two of the 2nd-Half Ultimate, but not yet the Box Office.

And now, on with the updates.

ULTIMATE FULL-YEAR

binkley and ashkul are taking delight at hogging the GZ all to themselves for the last few weeks. They still own the 1-2 spots despite having one film left to go (that being Space Chimps). Can the two of them hold off the six-headed Jas-geezer-Legend-sean-surfer-arrow demon, who all seem determined to hold hands and bum-rush the rest of the field? Time will tell. (God help me, if the six of them tie for 3rd and ALL earn IM's, I will plotz.)

Nearly impossible at this point to determine who's in danger, as nearly everyone in the bottom 1/2 has either Hellboy or Dark Knight.

Round Seven: http://attachments.wetpaintserv.us/p1swx5FfMs7J%24U1sretTKQ%3D%3D28029

ULTIMATE HALF-YEAR (1st Half)

I'm buffaloed. Who is in the best position to take the crown from ashkul? Only four people have Hellboy, and only one has Dark Knight, and they are all in the bottom half. Will it be enough?

For the first time, ash has been tied for the lead, this week by Chienfantome. The thing is, ash still has those darned monkeys left in his bullpen.

BOX OFFICE FULL-YEAR

Kompressr hits an unprecedented $1.05 billion this week, and he STILL isn't done! How much higher can he go with Hellboy still in his lineup? Ye gods.

18 of the bottom 25 people have Hellboy, and six of the seven who don't have Dark Knight one week later. Which leaves lainiediamond in some serious hot water...

BOX OFFICE HALF-YEAR (1st Half)

Chienfantome hangs on to that top spot for probably the last time, as Kompressr is poised to take the big red guy to the top this weekend.

I've been over this and over this, and I honestly believe it will come down to a battle Kompressr and geezer. Boiled down: Kompressr has Wanted's remaining cash and $160 million lead over geezer, who has Dark Knight's first ten days. Holy heart failure, Batman! This is going to be close!

By the way, at Keyser Soze's request, I created a chart on the last page which has the running five-round totals for all nineteen finalists. As you can see, it's been one HELL of a tournament for anny, who, should he not emerge victorious here, deserves kudos up the yin-yang. Dude, wow. You are our Tiger, our Federer, our Jerry Rice. Keep it up.

I noticed the updates were remarkably quick too this week. Maybe it is the start of a quick and responsive team.

Anyway, its taken more than six months, but I have finally been introduced in the SL round up!! Don't know whether any of us will be there come the end of the season though, guess we'll just have to wait and see. Even so, two of the 'six headed demon as you call it already have IM's, but I would be delighted if I could finally get one, I'm sure I'll need it soon enough as the competition gets that bit harder. I'd watch out for Supershaan though, he looks good with TDK still to come...

Thanks Shryke. And keep up the good work.

Why are there so many ties in the Box Office 2nd Half Round 1? I hope I tie for the WIN there!

You're welcome.

Why? Because there are 100 players! A lot of them have picked the same films:

Zohan - 53 players
Hulk - 63 players
Get Smart - 35 players
Wall-E - 53 players
Wanted - 30 players
Hancock - 27 players

Oh, a smattering have taken some others, but there are bound to be a few ties, even now. I'm sure it will spread out even more over the next few weeks, especially that August is such a mixed bag.

Doesn't look like its going to be spreading out. There are many ties so far with the same amount of money left to spend.

Just joined that last league. Sent an email to you (with my apologies!). I seriously thought I had already done so, hence the no checking of that email account.

Sorry >.>

Good work again Shryke, and good news all round. I would really like to win the BO HY but I agree, it will be really close! Atleast I have a shot at my first IM in the FY leagues, which will no doubt come in handy.

Props for the FM team for updating all the leagues quickly, correctly and completely. Now, if I could just add 'consistently' in there and we'd be set.

I really, Really want this win. Come on TDK!! Be HUGE!! I still say about 210 million in its first 10 days will do it. And if it opens with 125 million, I have no doubt it can get there.

Umm yeah, thing is Shryke, you seem to have mixed up Kompressr's Rd5 total with mine in that cumulative column. If you didn't I would be #2 through the period, with BrentBaines actually leading atm.

Thing is, I'm not going to win any of these leagues, so it'll all come to nothing. Guess there's no prizes for having the largest cume total, right?

Oh and Tiger's practically crippled at the moment, Federer just lost to Nadal on his hallowed turf of Wimbledon and I barely know who Jerry Rice is (some NFL player, right) so shows that being rated highly usually means squat. That is, unless you win the whole thing...

Feel better now?

Haha, perfect! There's some mediocre names there! Mr. Beckham is now like the epitome of mediocrity - football skill wise at least. That's why he went over there to play "soccer" over with you Yanks who barely even know what the game is.

Venus is pretty much a part-time tennis player along with her sister, so basically either of them will never get to #1 again, because they just don't play enough.

Had to google Seon-Hwa Lee, hmm seems kinda mediocre, couldn't have you given me Michelle Wie instead?

I'm content with that. Although Federer is pretty awesome, I'll take him, to be honest...

First of all, there is a huge difference between Americans and Yankees. NEVER call us Yankees again (sorry if I offended anybody). Second, WE'RE PROUD WE DON'T CARE ABOUT SOCCER.

Didn't they just play each other in the Wimbeldon?
