Hello all..

Well, first of all it is important to note that there has now been a significant structure change. I have always wanted a one on one approach, but the odd numbers however have made it hard.

However, i just recently found a post by JackO that said he would not mind representing Jamaica, and i'm going to have to switch him from the US team to the RoW team.

This gives us even numbers, it is now 22 vs. 22.

The structure is simple. Each person from a team will be matched up against an opponent from the other team. Those two people will then compete in a best-of-three competition between themselves to gain points for their respective side.

The points will be awarded like this:

1 point for a league win
3 points for the overall win (ie: best of three)
5 points for a clean sweep (ie: 3-0)

For example. If player A and player B were to compete and player A wins ALL THREE LEAGUES, then:

Players A:
1 point for winning BO
1 point for winning ULT
1 point for winning BR
3 points for winning the tie
5 points for a 3-0 clean sweep

which means he would get 11 points for his team.

If Player A were to win 2 leagues and Player B wins one, then:

Player A:
1 point for winning BO
1 point for winning BR
3 points for winning the tie

Player B:
1 point for winning ULT

which means Player A would get 5 points and Player B would get 1 point.

All the individual points will then be added, and the team with more points in the end obviously wins in the end.

Points will also be handed out on final position in the league, however, these are for individual award purposes and not for the team vs team competition.

I love that we've got a couple of real slug fest! Shryke vs numbersix? hoo! Anny and J.I. is gonna be good and I'm getting giddy just thinking about the box office duel between box office specialists delfinasu and Dranscht. Ashkul and Donte will be classic, if only for what is certain to be top notch trash talking, *lol*

Oh no, I'm drawn against Shryke. Well, my friend, the gloves are off, and I'm gonna hold no prisoners.

I've got a few other cliches in store too, so watch out.

i'm still in favor of a more team-based scoring system, but if this is how it's gonna go down: SuperShaan, your ass is grass!

how'd the matchups get decided anyway?

Barca, would it be too much to ask to keep track of both formats? I'd love too see if they came out with different winners.

Matchups were completely random. Basically, i assigned everyone in TEAM USA a number, and then put the numbers in a hat and drew them.

Some very good matchups in there.

No problem. Im going to be doing the points for the awards anyway.

However, that WON'T be the official score, just so everyone knows.

Wow... you really thought this through Barca !!!

I thought we were going to do a more straight competition... adding the points from the different sides, as a group and not as individuals... you changed your mind ?
I'll need to read your explanations at a decent hour of the day because I'm very confused by the rules right now....
