Good lord Barca, you were *so* right about Death at a Funeral. It was 10 times better than Hot Fuzz and right up there with Juno in my book. As you say, I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a long long time.
Also cemented Alan Tudyk as a favorite comedic actor of mine, even more than his role as Wash already had done (and a very nice ass as well!).
Wow... "everythings, so f***ing green!" indeed.

No, No, No!! Hot Fuzz was funny and a masterpiece as a homage and spoof to all their favourite cop movies.

Death at the Funeral is SHIT!! it is the turd which has been scraped up off the arse of the Carry On films of the 1970s. Not Funny in the slightest!!

Hot Fuzz was brilliant, and it is yet another movie which I *did* laugh aloud at quite a few times, which is rare indeed. Maybe its because I didn't see Hot Fuzz in the theatre.. Maybe its because the movie was a spoof of films that mainly target young adult males, which I am not.. Maybe I am a brit film snob? Who knows. Either way, Hot Fuzz didn't hit the spot.

I'm glad that you've seen the light..

I love that movie, and i have already pre-ordered it.

The part i love most is when they are 'continuing' the funeral, and then stuff happens (the no-spoiler version :p) and then Alan Tudyk gets up and says "I KNEW IT!"... Had me in tears.

By the way, if you liked this you'll love Eulogy.

Me too! Though not my top of 07, it was extremlely wonderful, with the exception of E.R.W, who sucked, rest of the cast was incredible.

Definitely. They are both very similar movies. Although IMO DaaF is superior, just a tad bit, but still superior.

Once is a great movie. One of my favorite movie experiences.

It's a 2007 movie. It was probably in festivals at the end of 2006, but it was mostly view in 2007.

Top 10:

1. There Will Be Blood
2. No Country For Old Men
3. Grindhouse
4. The Assasination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
5. Zodiac
6. Gone Baby Gone
7. Into The Wild
8. Knocked Up
9. The Darjeelig Limited
10. Hot Fuzz

I still have a few movies left to see but I know that nothing will take the place of There Will Be Blood. It is my favorite film made in the past 8 years and one of those movies that won't be fully appreciated for years to come. I have loved P.T. Anderson since Boogie Nights and I cannot wait for his next film.
